I watched a bit of some other series, hoping to be pulled in. Nope. Wake me up when someone, anyone can legitimately threaten GSW.
High point of the year was watching White's 36 point game for me.

KD has been clutch as in the Finals though. One may choke, but not both. You have 3 guys who can step up and carry the offensive load. No other team has that, most don't have even 2.
KD has been clutch mostly in his career i agree.. way more than Steph for example.. but referencing the Finals where the Cavs were clearly overmatched with 1 HOFer in LeBron against 2 HOFer's and an All-Star isn't the way to prove he's clutch. He never faced any adversity in those Finals.. it was clear who was winning those series.

In 2016 KD was 10-31 and 10-30 in Game 5 and 6 against the Warriors. Both close out games. I think those 2 games are the reason he joined the Warriors.

When he was the only star on the team in 2013 he got owned by the same Memphis team the Spurs swept in the next round. He shot 42% from the field and 78% from the FT line that series.

Klay Thompson is clutch as when Curry/KD go cold in the 4th. Look at that OKC game 6.

Also, it must kill you that the best backcourt in basketball is composed of two mixed race players ...
It sucks, race mixing sucks. But in both cases it was the father who was black, so it's not too bad I guess.

The main thing is that they're both suckers who willingly take up the rectum and down the throats, so that's the bigger problem.

It’s been ok - definitely not bad or anything but most series have been easy to call and been chalk. But even in some of them, there have been good moments and compe ive play.

My theory why previous hardcore basketball fans find the modern NBA playoffs boring is because the contests aren't attritional anymore. In a "boring" 82-78 defensive playoff game, every point seems to matter, every run seems like a disaster, every 3 a backbreaker. Games that end in 128-120 lack that. Games like that are basically a glorified shooting contest. I honestly think basketball didn't need more scoring. Even if games ended 55-50 (i.e. 20-25 made shots from both teams), it would still be the highest scoring mainstream sport by far. We wonder why people are more captivated by March Madness, where games do end in those scores.

For sure - most of these 2nd round series are nba finals quality.

HOU v GS is legit finals quality.

MIL v BOS is right there too.

PHI v TOR had potential but PHI has been somewhat disappointing

the only series that isnt that level would be DEN/SA v POR. Would still be fun, but not the overall quality of the rest.

He walked the ball right up on James and put one down his throat in Cleveland. He won b2b Finals MVPs. He's not Jordan or Lebron career wise, but currently he's the best in the game and I'd take him to build around over anyone else in the league.

Philly is dealing with a maturity issue. Embiid is a dominant force but he reminds me of Dwight Howard. All that money right away, went a year without playing a game.. now he's en led to run his mouth recklessly and show disrespect to the game and hasn't won .

Take the Greek Freak over him - much better defender and not soft mentally

I'll take the 7 footer who can nail the 3 and shoots a high FT% over the Freak.

It's debatable... I'm gonna go with Giannis though. But yeah...KD is without a weakness as a basketball player, skill-wise. He's the best and most complete scorer I've ever seen, and he's a solid defender too. His issue is that he's soft, and he can't handle the pressure. He's not the type of guy you want on your side when the going gets tough and things are working against you.

Giannis will eventually develop a consistent shot.
From that point on, it’s over for the rest of the league.
