You haven't actually read the Mueller report, either, I would wager.

Legal Fight Erupts After Feds Make New Claims About Butina Ahead Of Sentencing

has been cooperating with the feds for months,

but just days before her sentencing,

a major fight has erupted over the government’s efforts to paint her conduct as part of a “spot and assess” operation that could aid Russian spies.

The fight bubbled up in dueling sentencing memos filed Friday from Butina’s attorneys and prosecutors in the U.S. attorney’s office in D.C.

her lawyers filed a sentencing memo that painted her in the most flattering light possible.

“All told, her motivations weren’t nefarious.

Maria was genuinely interested in improving relations between the two countries, and she had no ill intent,”

The government, however, appears ready to throw the book at her,

even though they filed with the court a separate letter that described her “substantial assistance.”

They are recommending she serve an additional 18 months in prison —

a recommendation that would have been 24 months had she not cooperated.

“Butina provided Russia with information that has tremendous intelligence value,”

the type of information that “skilled intelligence officers can exploit for years and that may cause significant damage to the United States.”

I always assumed that CIA, NSA, etc. would be competent enough to see some sketchy oppo research for what it was.

With some of the other details we know now, "fighting back" means a lot of behind the scenes manuevering as well. Tweets like this, direct statements, will be front and center in any obstruction of justice charges.

This is looking more likely as time passes, and more evidence comes out. I would guess that Mueller has enough to charge Trump on this, which is what got Nixon and Clinton. What Trump has done, vastly exceeds what either of his predecessors did, and Trump has been doing it, like a ing idiot, IN PUBLIC.

I will go out and say that Trump will be indicted for it. The MAGA bomber and Coast Guard Lt types are the tip of the berg at that point. When Trump is charged, there will be some terrorist attack by one of his supporters.
... this is exactly what hte Mueller report said.

The irony of you bringing up the CIA is going to be all time.
    I said from the beginning:

What they were going to find was going to be data sharing, and that is what they have found. I said there would be some messaging coordination, and that was what they found.

All of this stuff was hinted at months ago, and Mueller is fleshing it out.

Data sharing and coordinating marketing/messaging is the definition of "collusion".

secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others.
There is a reason that Russian messaging efforts targeted certain states.
... and this is exactly what Mueller found as well.

So we have about five different conspiracies here.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevede...eport-will-say

Conspiring with Russia: Donald Trump, his campaign, his organization and his associates knew of the intent of the Russian Federation to carry out the Russian Intervention as early as November 2015. Upon learning of that intent, instead of alerting the FBI to the likelihood of a foreign government trying to commit a crime, Donald Trump, his campaign, his organization and his associates illegally conspired throughout the 2016 presidential election to encourage and enable the Russia Intervention. The result was to defraud the American people of a free and fair election.
One wrong word there, bolded for emphasis, although the report noted that there wasn't enough admissible evidence to charge anyone, not that they weren't bumbling and trying to.

Something is really rotten in the state of Kentucky, and it's coming from Russia

    At the LouisvilleCourier Journal,

Joseph Gerth is not too excited at the prospect that "by the middle of the year,

we'll be in business with Oleg Deripaska, a buddy of Vladimir Putin."

Kentucky is looking for $200 million from the Russian to invest in a $1.7 billion aluminum plant there.

    He goes on to describe

Deripaska's "deep ties to Russian organized crime," and

the allegations of Deripaska's violent, ruthless, criminal past in Russia.

Republican Gov. Matt Bevin's support for this project—

the state has already spent $15 million in the Braidy Industries aluminum plant, and

how important getting this big project going for Bevin's re-election,

as "there has been an air of su ion surrounding the Braidy project as it has dragged on."

It took the intervention of two other powerful Kentucky politicians to make it happen—Sens. Rand Paul and, most importantly, Mitch McConnell.

Those two were among the three votes in the Senate that

helped Donald Trump lift sanctions against Rusal, the aluminum company that will invest in the state which is partially owned by Deripaska.

one key question: how deep into Russia is McConnell?

    What does he owe Putin?

He helped Russia get Trump into the White House by

refusing to let the American government notify the public about and

help states arm against Russian incursion in the 2016 election.

Now he's looking to Russia to help his own re-election prospects and stranglehold on the Senate,

with a big assist from Bevin and Paul.

Something is really rotten in the state of Kentucky.

TRUMP’S FRAGILE EGO IS ENABLING RUSSIAN ELECTION-MEDDLING

Trump’s chief of staff reportedly warned officials not to mention the Russian security threat,

for fear of hurting the president’s feelings.

someone has launched a disinformation campaign to target 2020 Democrats,

all signs point to the security of American elections once again being at risk.

“We continue to expect a pervasive messaging campaign by the Russians to undermine our democratic ins utions,”

“We saw it in 2018, continue to see it, and don’t expect it to subside.”

Given all this, you would think
Donald Trumpwould make tamping down on election meddling a top priority. And yet, according to the Times,

the Trump administration has hit a major road block in its attempts to address the issue:

    the president’s fragile ego.

Trash is one sick, emotionally crippled mother er.

    1. "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."

    2. "The investigation examined whether [contacts between Russia and Trump figures] involved or resulted in coordination or a conspiracy with the Trump Campaign and Russia, including with respect to Russia providing assistance to the Campaign in exchange for any sort of favorable treatment in the future. Based on the available information, the investigation did not establish such coordination."

    3. "The investigation did not establish that [Carter] Page coordinated with the Russian government in its efforts to interfere with the 2016 election."

    4. "The Office did not identify evidence in those [contacts between Russians and people around Trump after the GOP convention] of coordination between the Campaign and the Russian government."

    5. "The Office did not identify evidence of a connection between Manafort's sharing polling data and Russia's interference in the election ... [and] the investigation did not establish that Manafort otherwise coordinated with the Russian government on its election-interference efforts."

    6. "The investigation did not establish that these [contacts between Russians and people around Trump during the transition] reflected or cons uted coordination between the Trump Campaign and Russia in its election interference activities."

    7. "The investigation did not identify evidence that any U.S. persons conspired or coordinated with the [Russian disinformation campaign]."

    You’re just making up now

“Then there is the issue of Manafort’s relationship with the Ukrainians, and specifically his providing of polling data to Konstantin Kilimnik, an episode which Trump/Putin conspiracist Marcy Wheeler, along with many others, particularly hyped over and over. To begin with, Mueller said his office “did not identify evidence of a connection” between that act and “Russian interference in the election,” nor did he “establish that Manafort otherwise coordinated with the Russian government on its election-inteference efforts”:

Now that's a proper panel. Always had a gut feeling on Brennan/Yates/Comey. I'm just wondering how high up the food chain are they going to prosecute? We know the people at the top of the pyramid (Soros,Obama) Clapper has already thrown Obama under the bus, who else is flipping?
