I would see that as a compliment to Poeltl. Obviously Malone thinks that Poeltl is effective against Jokic and the Nuggets so he wants to slander him and work the refs. Why else would he do that if not out of aknowledgment, that Poeltl is doing a good job.

I like his conferences. He actully answers questions with analysis and stats. I think Joker and Milslap through illegal screens by shifting their body and legs back as the defender tries to go around them. What are you going to do. The league rarely calls illegal screens and travels anymore.
