Reading Grant's autobiography now. He deserves much praise; but if the insinuation is that he is a better general than Robert E. Lee? No.
Since he wasn't a traitor to the US Grant is automatically better than Lee.

Lee's army should've been finished off in 1862 had McClellan not been such a pussy. He actually has a mixed record as a general but he had to be deified by those who couldn't accept the huge and final L the south took.
