I can live with LMA but can’t stand DEROZZ he is anti Spur just not a good fit for our team just either trade him or just let him walk when contract is up.
I have PTSD from the Gasol/Mills signings. Zero confidence in this front office signings right now.
It would not shock me to see DeRozan and Mills get extensions because they are nice guys/loyalty etc.

This roster deserves another run, we are clearly not happy with the performance, but enduring one year of the kawhi , plus a half-roster renewal, losing Manu and Tony, DJ's injury, plus a roster not greatly assembled.
Another year would be fine by myself considering you don't have to give away a pick to tease Mills, DeRozan becomes more tradeable and the roster gets set better.
It will be a real chance to see what they can do. If they fail again, I'm all about rebuilding.

If the Spurs can keep reaching the playoffs with this pathetic lineup, then likely they aren't going to make changes for the big 3 (Aldridge, DeRozan, Gay).
I expect though that DeRozan gets better with the one year experience he has with the Spurs.
Gay is still a walking time bomb in terms of his health.
Aldridge for $20m is a relative bargain.
If we were aiming at the Finals (and more), like Toronto.
Otherwise it probably doesn't make much sense to lose White and picks to have basically the same season. And then lose AD anyway to the Fakers. The risk is too big.

No issues with DD. He played well considering the team wasn't built for him. Spurs will off the same deal as LMA got. $72m over 3 starting after next season. Will save $5mil on first year.
I’m okay with that too. Let DDR and LMA play it out, and resign Gay to a one year deal (don’t care about how much, as it doesn’t impact cap as they’ll be over anyway, and no long term money). Move out Mills or Beli and get back whatever you can that fits the roster better. If Forbes or Bertans brings back more value then trade one of them instead.
While they got forced into a Kawhi trade, in retrospect botched the MLE considering they were losing him AND Green and used it on a non-defensive guy. Makes no sense to bring in Beli knowing that’s the likely outcome.
Or maybe only Beli worked because they wanted to save some MLE for Cunningham (what a bust) and needed some for Metu (four year deal is awesome value).

I dunno. Not like we got anyone to replace DDR. He's still a 20/5/5 kind of player who can't/won't shoot a 3. Clashes a bit with LMA in terms of spacing.
Right price, bring him back. Hopefully they can build a better more rounded roster going forward.
I think back court is over saturated. Murray/White/Forbes/Bellini/Mills/DDR, I can see them going 3 guards in the future with DDR at the 3, although I think he's too slight at that position.
Need to find someone who can fill that 3/4 position better. Gay is best coming off bench.

extending demar would be DISASTROUS. spurs will languish in purgatory until he's off the books.
If we plan to keep Demar long term he better turn into a willing 3 point shooter
I think people forget last year where we could only count on one player (LMA) for 20 pts a game. Letting go of DeMar would take us a step back. There are no other alternatives to give us our 2nd 20 ppg scorer. I say bring him back, but at a cost lower than a typical max contract. We need to get better role players if we look to improve. We already have Dejounte and D White, and possibly Lonnie to give us a third all star potential. Just get rid of Marco, Mills, and Forbes. Please. This is how we improve. And also draft a defensive stud at SF.
TOR already tried living and dying by DDR. look where that got them.
To me it is pretty obvious that one of DDR and LMA got to go and I 'd rather keep DDR. We need a big like Al Horford, that can defend, pass, play in the post, and shoot the three. LMA does only two out of those four. DeMar, in comparison, does three out of four that we need a guard to do; Defend, Pass, and create for others. And before you get on me on DeMar's defense, he and LMA had identical Defensive win shares. Also, he is on his prime.
So, yes, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a new deal. Especially, if that means we keep Rudy for cheap.

Murray isn't going to save this sorry-ass team from being so poor defensively. DEFENSE needs to be addressed in the off-season.
