95% yes but not 100. The 2013 finals game 6 was 5 with 29 secs. The nick Anderson finals... those are off the top of my head, there are others especially regular season
Exactly...it happens all the time tbh.

I think this is deeper than just not fouling. What it basically showed is that none of these players are thinking for themselves. They're terrified of making mistakes and I just don't know how you can play basketball that way. I mean really, does Pop have to let them know how and when they can wipe their ass?
Pop's a control freak and I think that backfires in situations like that where his players can't think for themselves. In contrast, for example PJ would let his players figure things out so they were better prepared for different situations. Also in the past the big 3 used to provide the leadership. Pop's defacto leader Mills should have known what to do and even had a chance to foul Jokic w/o leaving his man and still didn't. The other guys like DDR couldn't leave their men to foul Jokic or they would given up an open shot. It's just a weird situation that LMA/Mills both couldn't figure it out. LMA I'm guessing was just giving up. But what's the whole purpose of having Mills out there for leadership if he can't figure it out.

I wouldn't say it happen all the time. Those examples Nick Anderson/game 6 2013 show just how improbable it is. How many things had to go wrong? Nick Anderson missing 4 free throws. Spurs splitting free throws and not securing the offensive rebound twice. Either way the team that won in those cases hadn't mentally checked out of the game like the Spurs seemed to have. They still believed they could win and still had to hit big shots.

After watching the replay, Pop was so far out on the floor I'm shocked he didn't get a Technical called. Maybe that's even what he wanted - at least it would have stopped play. There's no way any of that can be laid on Pop, except for having stupid players on the roster.

Did patty have 5 fouls, is that why he didn't foul?
It doesn't make a rats ass how may fouls Patty had. You have to foul. If he doomed any chance of winning that game because he didn't want to foul out, he ought to be run out of town. Personally, I don't think he thought it through that far. They jus' stupid.

The odds before the game were nuggets -6. The last possession was very interesting to see. Just saying.

There has been a ton of times in the regular season where pop has let the players try and figure things out on their own. Same posters that he doesn't call the time out or direct the team, then games like this we hear he is a control freak an the players can't think for themselves.

The personnel has bbiq. They just are not at the level of players that played in years past. Experience, eh I don't know how much that factored in. Plenty of examples for the younger players to learn from with the loss in this series.

For the vets, well I don't consider people in their 30s to be set in their ways. That is still pretty F'ing young to be set in your ways

I dislike hearing how he is a season old vet at 35 is basically calling a spade a spade.

BUT you should be able to tell from looking at players day in a out who are compe ors and don't like to lose.

Manu with his mistakes was a of a compe ive player.

I like Aldridge and DeMar. They offer tangibles this team has been missing. I just don't see them as driven compe ive players that try to do everything possible to win.

At any rate, I feel there are some serious decisions to be made going into the off season coinciding with the draft. Hard decisions based with locker room presence, etc.

I am unsure what the front office looks at in regards to this roster with whom they keep an who they are needing to move on from and having a REASONABLE package doesn't gut them any further.

Will be interesting to read up on and pay attention to who they draft and who they look into signing with the limited options with payroll.

I don’t want to sound overly dramatic, but to me, that last play was basically what happens when players just tune out.

We’ve seen it in a lot of teams over the years, even laughed about it, and it didn’t happen to us before because we always had relatively smart players. That’s just gone now, and it’s opens larger questions: players go? coaching staff goes? is management paying attention?
They cornered the market on low-IQ career losers, what did they expect, tbh? Eventually, that becomes infectious.

With 28 seconds left, if they foul early in the clock, make two consecutive 3's while Denver goes 2/4 from the line, that game goes to overtime. That's a decent chance.

I mean Pop gave up too. Once Wombat came over and gave that half ass swipe at Jokic, Pop had Wombat right in front him. Could've easily yelled at him to foul.
the are you talking about. pop DID yell at patty right after the swipe when patty was right in front of him. but you cant foul a guy off the ball

pop made a lot of questionable decisions all series but i cant believe he's the one getting heat for not fouling there ... even timvp blamed him for "wrong hand signals", just look at the replay
