Van Gundy was not "impressed" that Kawhi "chose" to sit out over 20 games and gave props to the rest of the team.

Mark Jackson said what's the point in Kawhi managing his load if he's not gonna play basically the whole game in the playoffs like his team needs him to do.
    Haha awesome

I wonder why nobody ever mentions Kawhi sitting out an entire playoff series because he rolled his ankle. I mean it's not like he tore a muscle or anything

That was never on the table, or else they would have jumped head first for that. It wasn’t just two firsts, it was 12 & 13 if made before the draft.

It wasn't just the ankle. Many were reporting that his quad had already flared up during the Rockets series and it was getting worse as we were moving deeper in the playoffs.
I'm bored to seach up tweets about it but i clearly remember talking heads at both ESPN and FS1 saying that even if his ankle holds up he still has an inflamed quad.
I guess after gm3 in SA they decided to just shut him down since the series was not winnable at that point.

You mean he acted like a professional about it by going straight to PATFO. Lol.

He played subpar that season because of how he was being used. Pop apologized publicly, lol, about it if you'll recall? He said he would trade him for Kevin Durant otherwise he was kerping him. LMA only responded by signing an extension and SINGLEHANDEDLY carrying last year's squad to 47 wins and a playoff birth while Return from Injury Management was hiding from his trainers, coaches and teammates. Nephew put the whole team in crisis mode last year and not once did you see even one negative comment from LMA about the situation. And you still havent. He's been a total pro about the situation. Never forget LMA came here to play WITH Kawhitter.

Dude, you look silly and straight up pathetic trying to trash LMA while sucking off every last drop of Kawhi.
So now in hindsight he was a hero? We were mocking him and calling him touches... He didn't complain, but he damn sure showed it on his face on court, and lamented publicly about going back to play with lillard

duncan2k5 has to be the biggest number 2 fanboy.

How could there be nephew fans and still calling themselves ‘Spurs Fans’? What he did to get out of SA was truly unprofessional and still some fanboys support him?

Because I don't think Kawhi did something to us... I think we did something to Kawhi... Spurs were met with resistance once in their lives from a star player (not trusting their doctors and wanting more opinions after very visibly playing with pain), and didn't know how to handle it... Spurs were acting like a psycho girlfriend... The guy is straightforward and telling u what it is, yet still u make up crazy scenarios and send your friends to talk about him publicly

Well you should know by now it's not about him it's about his Uncle. Uncle Dennis felt bored in SA and want's to live the LA lifestyle. I'm convinced#2 would have as much fun in LA as he would playing ball in Baghdad.

    Straightforward

Like he wasn't being hidden in NYC from Spurs officials. Hardly straightforward man

Who is this we you keep referencing. I certainly wasn't mocking him. And there's nothing at all wrong with wanting to be involved in a gameplan. #2 iso balls and the ball stopped flowing throughLMA which made him useless.

He's been an all star 3 of the 4 years he's been here. And ultimately what I rely on is what his coaches and teammates think of him. Manu sure thinks highly of him. As do all the players on last year's team. I've heard praise from Gay, DD, Mills, Forbes, Bertans, etc this year. And Pop has had zero hesitation to praise him for his work on both ends of the court, on and off the court, gameday or not.

So take your PhD in Disgruntled NBA Facial Analysis and shove it up your ass. You know about LMA or his value and roll with the team.

It’s obvious Duncan2k5 is part of kawhi’s group or something. There’s literally no logical reason for him to twist the narrative to favor kawhi this much

at the end of the day, if you are a grown man and let your uncle do your decisions for you, you're a sucker. That's what all of this comes down to. Kawhi ain't his own man, he does what his uncle tells him to do. I understand that he's loyal to him since Uncle Dennis took care of him once he lost his father, but still. Being loyal and making decisions based on what other people in your circle want are 2 different things. If you're a grown man, you're supposed to make your own decisions. When has Kawhi not come across as a bigass baby? He's shy, he doesn't want to talk, he's never seemed like a grown man standing on his own 2

All this basically happened because Uncle Dennis wanted a position in the front office and start his agency and he got these rich guys from NY to invest into that plan. None of that wouldn't have happened if that wasn't the plan. And at the end of the day it's on Kawhi, cause he let his Uncle play those games instead of manning up and telling him to cut that out. Remember Kawhi fired his agent. His agent and the Spurs had a great relationship. All that went downhill once he fired that guy and let his uncle take over

People seem to have forgotten that part and think it was the "injury". By the way duncan2k5 is gargling Kawhi's harder than the Toronto Raptors

As if those same ppl never praised Kawhi... LMA iso balls as much as anyone, difference is Kawhi is much better in every aspect of the game, and isn't selfish... Kawhi doesn't pout and become ineffective when the ball doesn't go through him... LMA needs to be the number one option, or else he is out! Ask lillard

They were stupid to try to stiff him. A LOT of the that came out about this whole situation, and Impact came out during the discovery portion of the suit. You can’t fire an agent, and then not pay a commission on the entire contract that he negotiated. It’s just not even legally defensible, and I hope he takes Impact to the cleaners.

Let's say that's true, just for the sake of argument. That nephew was hurt, didn't trust the Spurs docs and wanted more opinions after playing in pain. The Spurs then behave in a way that he doesn't like, as you say, "like a psycho girlfriend" by making up crazy scenarios and talking .

Kawhi and his people then make it publicly known that he wants to be traded, and will only sign long-term in Los Angeles, making it impossible for the Spurs to get anything close to equal value. Doesn't that count as "doing something" to the Spurs? Honest question.

Everyone knows he faked his damn injury and lied. Anyone saying anything different is delusional. And I can't stand Pop or the front office, but it's obvious Kawhi lied like a mother er and ed over his team. I will never forget. Hope he loses, I'll be laughing.
