Romeo Langford
School: Indiana
Position: SG/SF
Age: 19
Height: 6-foot-6
Weight: 215
Wingspan: 6-foot-10
Draft Range: 8 to 20
Why: Natural-born scorer. Has the innate feel for creating space, using angles and keeping defenders off-balance. Really good at getting to the free throw line -- attempted 6.1 per game in his lone season at Indiana. Athletically gifted: great size for a shooting guard, strong body, long arms and explosive off his feet. Already uses his length adequately well on defense and is a strong rebounder.
Why Not: Shooting leaves a lot to be desired. Bad, inconsistent form on his jumpers. Shot a lot but only connected on 27.2% of his threes. Can be a ball stopper and has exhibits iffy decision-making. As a freshman, shied away from contact in the paint and didn't always use his athleticism to his advantage when finishing. Doesn't have any defensive fundamentals to speak of; he's a total rebuild on that end outside of his rebounding and natural tools.
Spurs Fit: Compared to Murray, White and Walker, he's more of a small forward. Would need to learn to shoot to fit alongside that trio.
Spurs Comparison - Ceiling: Bigger Derek Anderson
Spurs Comparison - Floor: Dion Glover

A lot of similar traits to Lonnie.
Indiana's Romeo Langford official measurements at the NBA Combine: 6'6 with shoes, 6'11 wingspan, 8'7 standing reach, no weight or body fat.
really like him before and more with that.
Still recovering from surgery to repair torn thumb ligament.
Damn, if he weighs nothing his vertical should be off the charts!
How fat did this guy get that he was the only player at the combine who didn't let them weigh him or measure his body fat?
Hopefully fat enough to fall to 19

Interesting article. I didn't know he had an injured shooting hand this year.
article sells him well. I'm sold!
It seems like he's slipping and could fall to 19. Teams are worried about his shot (justifiably, IMO). There's no proof that he can actually shoot and he's not a super athlete who can still be productive without hitting at least around 35% of his threes. Also, there are whispers that he doesn't care enough ... and it's fishy that he didn't let teams weigh him or measure his body fat.
All that said, he's a player the Spurs would have to really consider if he actually falls to 19. Not the greatest fit but he was highly thought of in high school and Pop always loves guys from the state of Indiana, tbh.
Thx. I noticed lower mocks for him.
apparently he played all year with a thumb injury, this kid can ball and has the size to be a sg/sf
If he slides and other options are guys like grant williams or samanic for example i will take him straight away.
Big fan of his game if he drops. If the thumb issue really affected his shooting last year, I would have no issues with him being picked at 19.
Lets see what the spurs can do with him
He was projected top 5 if were not for the thumb injury. So what happened? Got buried in the bench? I like that he’s a smooth scorer and long 6’10” wingspan ala Devin. He’s maybe a better suited SG than Derrick. Because Derrick was more of a PG and forced to play combo guard with DJ, but never really consistently delivered as a PG.
