Killer instinct. There is something to be said for those who not only take the last shot, but could care less about the criticism that comes with missing it. Regardless of Kobe's mishaps in clutch situations, I want my best player taking most of the shots in end game situations, and he can not be lacking in confidence.

And that's why poll after poll in his era amongst GM's say that Kobe is the best guy to take those shots.

It's not even wanting to take the last shot and not caring about the criticism, it's wanting to kill, absolutely mame and destroy the enemy. Something only guys like MJ had. Kobe had it, LeBroom definitely had it at times but not all the time.
