Please keep the thread to these two players.

Scenario: You will be drafting one of the two. So which do you choose and why?

Bassey, more potential with hs range and developing inside outside game...

They are both athletic, offensively raw, but Bassey seems to be a better rebounder, though he faced mostly lesser compe ion than Gafford. Bassey, apparently has been working out here in San Antonio for a while.

I will go with Bassey, he has more upside imo and is better overall.

Do you mean 19? It will most likely be 19...not 29 based on the mocks I have seen.

I pick Bassey. Has the potential to develop into a strong starter big.

Gafford, IMO, does not have that potential (although he is less likely to bust) - rather, I project him as a replacement level player (ie a vet min big).

Gafford is listed as 6'11". I think he's 6'9" at most. Strike one.

He's a terrible shooter from outside the low post, and that includes the FT line. Strike two.

His team made it into the NIT Tournament, but he decided not to play, so that he could "prepare for the draft". I've seen all I want to of players bailing on their teammates. He may be the better prospect, but you asked for opinions and mine is "Strike Three".

Bassey supposedly has a decent shooting stroke and shot well at he line in school. Some people are questioning his age which is kinda scary and he isn't as athletic as Gafford. How good would Bassey be at guarding the pick and roll also.

Out of the two players I would take Bassey 1st because he has a good shooting stroke, better rebounder and might be younger. Lol

I am pro Bassey as well. I love his potential, work ethic, rebounding, and outside stroke. Gafford does not really impress me at all.
