Cult of Kobe splicing together a highlight reel to make him look good against Kawhi

Very, very strange as I always remembered Kawhi defending him without breaking a sweat. One of his easiest assignments actually. Rudy Gay, on the other hand, would always torch Kawhi for whatever reason.
Kobe is a poor man's Rudy Gay, so it makes sense that the real Rudy would do better against Kawhi, tbh.

literally everyone of those "highlights" the Lakers are trailing Ignacio

    Also:

Kobe has played with the likes of Kwame, Smush, Mihm, etc. Of course they were often trailing. Thanks for pointing that out. -200 points son.

Kobe had two good game against the spurs in the playoffs and the media killed that to death. The spurs designed the entire defense around shaq and left kobe opened every possession, then people cream themselves when Kobe made wide open shots. Same with fisher.
You disingenuous . Shaq averaged 30.4ppg in 2001 playoffs. Kobe? 29.4ppg with 7 boards and 6 dimes. I'm sure Kobe was an afterthought to Pop

Bruce Lee Bowen became a Spur because of Kobe. The Spurs looked at the 2001 tape and went out and got the premiere (but dirtiest) perimeter player in the game to combat Kobe. What premiere low post player did they go get to stop Shaq - Kevin Willis?

You act like we don’t have video back in 2001 or something. The spurs were the only team in the league who can put some kind of fight against shaq. The spurs were throwing Robinson with help from duncan and guards from all over to defend shaq. Kobe was singles by antonio Daniels.

41 points on 39 shots. You know how many points Kobe can score with 39 shots? Hint: 47 got him 81. Shhhhhhh!

Kawhi shot 41%...obviously not good but not an absolutely horrendous percentage

    Definitely better than 6/24

Come on they are not spur fans but are #2 fans. I don't think we have many real spur fans left in here. They will also be clipper fans next year.

Not a fan of Kawhi the person, just enjoy watching him play. Would always root for Spurs over anyone, but enjoying basketball in general comes first.

This is all Laker fans have left in life. Trying to salvage the crumbling legacy of their hero years after he retired and left them in this dumpster fire situation.

The Spurs couldn't just go get someone to stop Shaq because he was unstoppable in his prime. Kobe fans like to talk around that fact.

    2000 Finals:

    Shaq: 38 ppg on 61%
    Kobe: 15 ppg on 36%

Is this the largest disparity in NBA history between a first option and a second option? Kirby got outplayed by Austin Croshere and we got his cult members arguing that he was on an equal footing with Shaq

End discussion: 1 - Kobe most over-rated great NBA player in history, just look at his low PER among greats (25th) https://www.basketball-reference.com...er_career.html 2) Leonard is an *@$hole but a far better two way players despite Bryant being Mr. Popularity on NBA defensive teams.
