...good now.
A flaw in California’s election process has allowed hundreds -- and possibly thousands -- of Californians to vote twice in each election beginning in 2016, election watchdogs warn.
The Mercury News reports the double-voting snafu was first discovered in June of 2016 just before the Democratic primary. But it appears nothing was done to fix it.
So much noise, pure BULL and LIES from a sick so-called man
Ignoring Trump’s Orders, Hoping He’ll Forget
Slow-walking or flat-out disobeying Trump’s fleeting obsessions has become common practice across various sectors of government.
Even if Trump fixates on an entirely different issue the next day—
perhaps something gleaned from that morning’s episode of Fox & Friends or
the previous night’s Hannity—
multiple officials across the federal government are still left to allocate resources and finagle some sort of response.
(He is the president, after all.)
Sometimes that means containing the fallout of Trump’s hastiness by walking back a decision, but doing so in an obsequious manner.

Trump’s prized Doral resort is in steep decline, according to company do ents, showing his business problems are mounting
Late last year, in a Miami conference room, a consultant for President Trump’s company said business at
his prized 643-room Doral resort was in sharp decline.
At Doral, which Trump has listed in federal disclosures as his biggest moneymaker hotel, room rates, banquets, golf and overall revenue were all down since 2015.
In two years, the resort’s net operating income — a key figure, representing the amount left over after expenses are paid — had fallen by 69 percent.
Even in a vigorous economy, the property was missing the Trump Organization’s internal business targets; for instance,
the club expected to take in $85 million in revenue in 2017 but took in just $75 million.
“They are severely underperforming”
The troubles at Trump Doral — detailed here for the first time, based on do ents and video obtained under Florida’s public-records law —
suggest the Trump Organization’s problems are bigger than previously known.
This is also the first known case in which
a Trump Organization representative has publicly acknowledged the president’s name has hurt business.

NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE IN TRUMP’S DECREPIT, TAINTED TOWER
“The name on the building became a problem. . . . No one wants in that building.”
When Donald Trump first opened Trump Tower, the centerpiece of his property empire, he was able to convince everyone from Steven Spielberg to Johnny Carson to Sophia Loren to pay top dollar to live in the place, with units selling for as much as $15 million.
Now, thanks to a name that’s synonymous with “racist blowhard of debatable mental stability and questionable moral conduct,” not to mention a lack of updates in recent years,
people can’t get away from the building fast enough.
Bloomberg reports that since Trump was elected, at least 13 condos in the tower have been sold.
Among the nine for which property records show the original purchase price,
eight were unloaded at an inflation-adjusted loss,
with several selling at a discount of more than 20 percent.
(By contrast, just 0.23 percent of homes sold in Manhattan during the same period booked a loss.)
“it’s rare that someone owns an apartment here for 10 years and takes a loss.”
clients have repeatedly and insistently told him not to show them units in any of Trump’s buildings.
“It’s a bloodbath, basically.
It’s a financial bloodbath. . . .
Nobody wants to go there.
If you’ve got a Marriott and a Hyatt and a Trump, you’re not going to Trump.”
it’s not just the residential part of Trump Tower that’s taken a hit:
The commercial portion of the building has been struggling for months
to find tenants for more than 42,000 square feet of vacant office space, despite advertising rents well below the area’s average, listings and data from real-estate brokers show. . . .
“If I were looking for office space, that would be a building I’d want to avoid,” said Edward Son, until recently a market analyst for CoStar Group, Inc.
The office portion of Trump Tower is advertising five vacancies spread across five floors.https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019...ot_Subscribers
In January, prices for the open space ranged from $72 to $85 per square foot annually.
A month earlier, the Trump Organization posted to its YouTube channel a glossy marketing video that referred to the tower as “one of New York’s most iconic trophy buildings.”
Now the prices are listed as negotiable.
A commercial real-estate broker said that his firm’s surveys show that
prospective tenants won’t consider a Trump building until he’s out of office.
One of the building’s other problems is that
Trump hasn’t spent much money updating the tower in recent years,
Chris wants the White House to referee content on the internet. That will be a sure way to prevent political bias, especially bias against the most victimized victims of all: suspended/banned Twitter and FB accounts.
so you don't see it as an issue then? yeah it's a pretty glaring issue tbh. when you applaud authoritarian views you have already lost your soul.
You can ignore like 99% of what he says. He's a blatant troll, and proud of it.
Who in government is going to decide what YouTube and Twitter allow on their services?
What's a glaring issue? That Twitter and FB suspend and ban assholes?
Chris is saying that should be the government's job. As flawed as FB and Twitter are, I prefer them policing themselves to the state deciding what is and isn't too biased/hateful/extreme for social media.
Fits the Repug strategy of ing up govt into dysfunctionality
White House Suffering ‘Unprecedented’ Job Vacancies Under Trump
the heavy volume of vacancies in the U.S. federal government is the subject of a report by Dareh Gregorian for NBC News.
Gregorian reports that presently, there are
“138 nominees awaiting confirmation by the Senate” and
“132 positions that have no nominee at all.”
“what we have seen is unprecedented, with consistent vacancies across the government.”
There has been so much turnover in the Trump Administration, according to Stier, that the confirmation process in the Senate is being overwhelmed.
“The system is on overload,” Stier told NBC News. “You have too many people trying to get jammed through the Senate.”

Trump Reportedly Relying On Twitter Likes and Retweets to Make Sensitive Policy Decisions
A recently published profile on White House social media director Dan Scavino suggests that President Donald Trump frequently uses his Twitter engagement numbers to defend his controversial, sensitive policy decisions.
Politico’s piece on Scavino portrays him as the ultimate White House insider: a member of Trump’s inner circle since the start of the 2016 election who serves as the gatekeeper for the president’s Twitter feed.
Scavino’s positive reinforcement of Trump has allowed him to remain one of the president’s closest confidants, and in a comment to Politico about Scavino’s social media role, Trump says
“Oftentimes, I’ll go through Dan, I’ll talk it over. He can really be a very good sounding board. A lot of common sense. He’s got a good grasp.”
a meeting where Trump called Scavino in to tell lawmakers about the positive reactions he got on Twitter after announcing his plan to pull U.S. troops out of Syria.
the lawmakers were surprised as Scavino defended the move by pointing to the likes and retweets Trump received after the announcement.
The profile goes on to suggest that Scavino has used the same strategy since then to boost some of Trump’s other controversial policy choices.
