Okay. Here is the question. WHO is better at dribbling the ball, Green or Bowen?
Bowen was a forward not a guard...

Too lazy to see the rest of this argument, but why would their position matter in terms of dribbling a ball?

This goes to Green, tbh. Neither are/were good dribblers, but Green has shown more when the ball was in his hands.

Pop used Green at PG at times early in his Spurs career. He's not as horrible a dribbler as most are making him out to be, tbh. Awkward and no fluidity but he's not a stationary player.

Back before the NBA shrank, he was probably average-ish for a wing.

Danny Green has better offensive basketball skills (passing, ball-handling, off-ball movement, even shooting [he takes a much wider diversity of 3 pt shots]) than Bruce ever did.

Guard who can't dribble or make a leyup like Green is much more a liability and cause a collective and big damage to his team...

Thats what makes him a much worse player. By marginally having better ball handling than Bowen, it makes him ... handle the ball which causes havoc for his own team

Simple. Teams always rested their studs by asking them to defend Green (Curry, Harden). All they had to do was hover at the 3pt line and close out hard when DG got the ball.

Forcing Danny to pump fake and dribble, which almost never turned out good for the Spurs. So bottom line, he was easy to guard

Most people don't remember, though, that was the year that TJ Ford started out looking good and then re-injured himself to end his career. Mills wasn't ready, Corey Joseph wasn't ready. Gary Neal sucked as a backup PG. Pop only put Danny in that position out of desperation. For all purposes, Manu was the backup PG.

Draw a circle out at about the FT line. Danny dribbles well enough to somewhere around that point. Then it all gets to be too much for him. I like Danny, but he really is bad as a playmaker. And maybe that's the key - it's not about dribbling, it's about playmaking. His recognition is poor, and once NBA defenders smell blood in the water, they go even harder at the weak fish.

“But the Spurs threw him in for free!” Fans have turned on him already. SMH.

Remember when Jonathon Simmons looked better than Danny Green?
    Eh, no actually.

And like it or not, Danny is still the kind of player we've been howling about getting ever since he left.

Thats like saying a cleaner turd is better than a smelly turd. Danny sucks. He’d rather live out his professional career with clubbing and partying than being in a gym 24/7 & maximizing his abilities. That’s his decision. Spurs are better off drafting and developing than taking him back like a dog without a home.

He cant dribble. It’s amazing how much money he’s made playing basketball without being able to dribble. That in itself is a success story

Unfortunately he’s been done for a couple of years now. Barring a major turnaround, this post season has cost him millions. Sad, I’d of loved to see him get paid.

I’d take Bruce any day over green. Green is an overrated piece of that is still getting a pass from people that still have his in their mouths over what he did in three games of the finals 6 years ago.

I still think green will get a decent pay day this offseason, defensive wings are hard to come by
