Lakers have a history of snitches and backstabbers.
    Magic
    Kobe
    D-Russ
    Pelinka
Jason Kidd (we all know it will happen)

Why would any star want to play for this organization?

I'm sure the Lakers would be shaking in their boots at that 20-person "protest" if only it happened this week!

Incredible how Jeannie could actually run the Lakers worse than her brother.

Only way they would sell if both of them decided to. It doesn't matter what the Bus family is worth, owning the Lakers makes them billionaires. The Lakers could probably easily sell for 3.5-4 billion.

The question is would they ever sell? Owning the Lakers gives her power, clout and celebrity status in Los Angeles that the extra money wouldn't. They have something many reach people want. And, let's be honest here they aren't hurting for cash either. Same thing with the Knicks since it is Los Angeles they are printing money especially with that huge TV deal they got a few years ago.

She doesn’t have to sell a damn thing if she doesn’t want to (not saying you’re suggesting that).

This just feels like the beginning of the ESPN machine voluntarily getting in the middle of things because they want to MLAGA.

If Stephen A. or Kellerman had any balls, their immediate response would have been to ask Magic what Muscala's playoff numbers were like this year. It's asinine that he's actually trying to defend this trade.

Yea, I think you have a point. Plus it is great for their ratings, since they did the interview and now this will be played over and over again.

One thing I have learned from women is they keep grudges. So let's say hypothetically decides to sell, I can see them telling Magic to pound sand. It's not like they wouldn't be getting offers from every Billionaire, etc in the world. The have a golden ticket.

Hey, I’ve been saying this for years. I have called out the flaws and the issues and was called a hater or at least biased. It’s been obvious for a long time what has been going on and hearing Magic should not even be that surprising.

Their biggest issue, out of all of this crap, is that they have been in the lottery for going on 6 years now, with 3 #2 picks amongst other lottery picks and don’t have a foundational young player out of all of it.

All other crap aside, that is the most damaging thing. They draft medicore with their must hit picks and even worse? Worst most toxic player development culture in the league.

But all the other stuff is really bad too for a team that 100% relies on free agency; Lebron “saved” them but not really. He was going there no matter what and LA didn’t do anything to deserve it.

But I can’t fathom LA trading Bron. Not when they rely on free agency and not with the power he yields. They would be blackballed even worse than they already appear to be (despite some guys like AD trying to force their way there). LA inability to foster relationships throughout the league and how they tried to strong arm SA/NO is even worse and severely damaging to them.

Players have not been able to force their way there with collusion any longer and they have no one in place that realizes this.

Very interesting off season but I dont see how trading Bron is an option; they are in bed together and have little shot of any meaningful basketball for the remainder of Bron’s career IMO.

But they will land a FA this off season; just not the KD/Kawhi caliber. But they will pay for someone because they have to.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the hallway:

"I didn't want to entertain leaving our people," Winger said. "Would it have been personally very challenging and enlightening in a lot of ways? Sure. There are only so many of those opportunities. But I quite frankly think there are even fewer like the one I'm in."

"You lay your head down at night four or five nights in a row and think to yourself, 'I know the grass will not be greener,'" he said. "There will not be greener grass."

"Who wants to work in a … negative environment?" Frank said. "It's collaborative. That's why I think people enjoy it because it's so collaborative that people know their voice matters."

"Steve's willingness to tell Lawrence to go get guys that are some of the best at each of their individual fields, and then [ask] what do they need to do well, is what has kept me," Redden said.

I agree, but in the big scheme of things, I think he is less to blame than others. But he still has blame. But Rob is the worst GM in the NBA and Jeanie is a bottom 3 owner.

It’s a horrifically run franchise and unfortunately they screwed up the draft/development which is the biggest screwup of all.
