Cater should have to disclose to the viewing audience his role with Impact Sports before every segment on Kawhi.

Forgetting all the anger and accusations on both sides, I wonder if KL might do a 1 + 1 like LeBron did the last few years prior to the Lakers. See if they can make the Finals again (or repeat, as the case maybe) and still have the option to be a FA next year.

well the reaction if he leaves for LA will be on another level too. They dont get as much sun there. Haha

Kawhi can get away with load management in the east. In the much tougher west . LA fans and media will always be on another level.

Kawhi going to be in the news on an unprecedented level.

I don't think so Bill, with his physical situation I think he and the group need guaranteed money for four or five years. They want their money, they want to work on their own schedule where back to backs are not demanded EVER.

I don't know much about Cris Carter, I thought he was regarded as a top NFL receiver. I also assumed he was a clean-cut type of guy. Was he actually snorting coke and drinking during his playing days?
Yes. He was a draft pick of the Philly Eagles and was a bad actor to the extent that the eagles cut him. He then went to Minnesota. I believe he dried out up there.

Telling NFL players to have a fall guy recently at a rookie symposium put on by the NFL 2-3 years ago. Not a good person......AT ALL.

This happens a lot now days but I think he also went through a pretty messy divorce with some unseemly allegations.

Oh, I forgot, accused of intimidation by the husband of a married woman he (Carter) was dating several years ago. Also, accused of sexual harrassment by a makeup artist at ESPN. ESPN settled out of court to avoid a big headache - no longer employed at ESPN. Now at Fox Sports.

Beg pardon? Kindly share the intimate details of how Skip knows Kawhi's body. America wants to know.

The silver lining is this series is going to be first ever that I will be able to enjoy Draymond's dirty play. Looking forward his eye pokes, nut kicks, elbows, hand breaker move.
Still waiting for Kawhi to lose I see

Was that a very hard call? he went to the East, to a 60 win team that already went to the EC the year before.
Exactly. Which is why I didn’t get why some people here thought that pop and the spurs got one over on Kawhi by trading him there.

When Kawhi leaves Toronto after this season, is he going to be known as the franchise killer? Lebron is the coach killer, but Kawhi is the franchise killer.

There is the possibility of him having to go full freelance, if he's willing to do so. And don't think there aren't sports outlets that won't want to capitalize on a full detailed information story of this whole saga to stick it to ESPN. A true accounting of everything to the present day, including how he was treated by ESPN after the July 5th 2018 podcast, is a story that will sell not only nationally but globally! Michael C Wright plans this right, the rites to the spec story he has to tell is going to be werth a pretty penny.

There's going to be a 30 for 30 and a hollywood movie made after the truth comes out. M b jordan as kawhi, ben Affleck as ginobili, robert richard as tp9, emilio estevez as pop, etc

Thought I'd throw this in, since most are probably unaware of it. Leonard was not the Spurs' first choice in that draft.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.ksa...-kawhi-leonard

Klay Thompson was. The Spurs couldn't make the trade for Thompson.

So, there's an alternate universe scenario to ponder. Klay Thompson becomes a Spur, Parker goes to the Warriors (replaced by George Hill, who stays with the Spurs,) and Leonard stays with the Pacers in the East.

And we don't have any championships or Finals appearances from this decade.

Klay came into his own in 2015 onward

It was more for personal reasons i think. He hates the cold and was nowhere near California, which is where he wanted to go.
Talent wise, yeah Toronto obviously was going to be pretty good with Kawhi.

Ok, then why'd he spend all that time in New York? Which is cold and nowhere near Cali. There are scads of doctors in Cali.

cause Uncle Dennis is located in New Jersey. Knicks and Nets are in the mix for Kawhi, as well as both LA teams. Clippers are favorites

All these conspiracies are silly... ESPN stopping Wright from reporting on Kawhi?? They have reported on MUCH worse drama... Lmfao... U think that company would turn down the opportunity for an exclusive tid bit of info?

Secondly, u guys are stupid to believe most of what was said... These nba guys don't talk to any of them, yet every year they proclaim this or that player is DEFINITELY going to this team or that team (most times are wrong), or feel a certain way about playing with another player (fake news). They don't ever give sources... It's ALL speculation... Kawhi wants to play for the Lakers... Who said that? They just made it up! When they actually do have sources, they say "I spoke to__________"... But 99% of the time they put out a headline talking about what a player will do and when you read the article, it's a throwaway quote from an opposing GM speculating...

Even Chris Carter... Mr inside guy... Said Kawhi wouldn't play in Toronto... The very next day Kawhi is taking team photos... These guys don't know

Kawhi was clearly injured, and just because he is playing on it now doesn't mean he could play on it then... Jesus have any of u ever played a sport?

Just because spurs treated the big 3 one way doesn't mean that's how they would treat Kawhi... Pop and gang grew up with the big 3...kawhi was a new dude on the block... Pop's loyalty was more toward seeing Tony and Manu go out in a blaze of glory... And he wanted to put that on Kawhi... Pop, current spurs players, and past spurs players ALL went on national TV to throw shots... While we heard not one peep from Kawhi nor anyone else... If this situation was reversed where Kawhi and camp were publicly bashing the Spurs and the Spurs weren't saying anything, ppl would call Kawhi classless

Woj also said they wanted to take Valenciunas but had to settle with Kawhi, after Toronto (ironically) saved their asses.

Yes. Damn, look at this, we agree. Leonard went to N.Y. because Uncle was in N.J. Leonard doesn't care about cold weather.

Teams play half their games on the road anyway. San Antonio today, Minnesota tomorrow, in the middle of January. Or, Toronto today, Orlando tomorrow. They're nomads during the season, and in the offseason they can go anyplace.
