seriously doubt that the spurs being in town affects property values that much. all over Texas property values are steadily rising...secret’s out that it’s the best state from a quality of life standpoint (good wages, low taxes, etc). the east side of San Antonio is the fastest gentrifying place in the county, expect other less desirable areas of town to keep rising in value

What's your idea of a "bum " state? The ty Dixie states all have state income taxes and average to above average property taxes as well.

Also, your utilities will be much cheaper, since there's water everywhere and you're not running the A/C 80-85% of the year. Similar goes for a state like Pennsylvania, which has 3.75% state income tax, and property taxes are much more reasonable than Texas, just stay in the suburbs and not inner city Philly.
