Still thought he would come back for a 10-day so he could "retire a Spur", but guess Tony isn't about frivolous gestures. He will always be a Spur at heart.
The best San Antonio Spurs Guard of all Time!!
Best point guard in team history. Great career!
Great player, played like an MVP between 2012-2014.
would have been our best point guard by a longshot last year. too bad PATFO got cute and disrespected the greatest guard in spur history smh
I'm watching Manu's Retirement Ceremony right now for the 50 millionth time.![]()
Meaningless to the tune of $5M. I get it. But he should’ve been a Spur his entire career.
lock for HOF or not?

Easily.
Can’t believe the Duncan, Parker and Ginobili crew is all finally done. Happy for TP and he will always be a Spurs legend. Even though he’s underrated by even Spurs fans, he was undeniably important to the entire run the big 3 had.
According to reports, San Antonio offered the same, but Tony didn't want to ride the bench.
Ironically, he ended up riding the bench for the last quarter of his season in Charlotte anyways.
Some sites have him taking a few years though. With all the statistical PPG and high assist PGs out there today not 100% this is a lock but I like the odds.
Haha for real...last playoff series this team won was the last one Parker started. First they tried Mills, then DeJonte, then White. 0-3!
It was a joy to watch him play.
Can't really put much stock into those two series vs. the Warriors without Kawhi. They were simply on another level.
I'd dare to say that the Spurs beat the Nuggets if they had Parker this year, though.
Have his Spurs jersey retirement when Kawhi is in town.![]()
Well, damn. I wanted him to round out the roster this year. Having him on the bench would have been cool. Maybe he'll take Ime's assistant coaching spot.
The Big 3 era has officially ended.![]()
Glad he never got to play with that loser DeRozan, for his sake. We could've had a suicide on our hands
Not going to lie, I thought the Spurs were going to re-sign him for a farewell tour. Spurs probably told him to buzz off so he's now retiring. Best move of the off-season so far.
Parker has said numerous times he wants to be an NBA GM and is not interested in coaching.
,he said it today as well,it's right there in The Undefeated article.
