You can’t sidestep the fact that he missed an entire basketball season. Nobody in their right mind is cool with that. Nobody is going to sit around and say that is OK for their star player to be medically cleared and refused to play for an entire basketball season. His job is to play basketball. Not get paid $19 million to sit on the couch and complain that he just doesn’t feel like it. The potential for devastating injuries always exists. That’s professional sports. If this becomes the norm in sports. Star players constantly being medically cleared but refusing to play. The fans are sure going to lose out. Sucks for them.
