Knowing Pop, he was probably the first person outside the Raptors to call/text and congratulate that got and the artist formerly known as LDN.

Jesus! What do you want Pop to do, get on the court and start making shots? A coach is as good as his roster. People think that a great coach can himself win teams championship regardless of the roster!

Remember, Tyrone Luo won a championship too.
Its better to leave him alone, he is just a troll account that appeared when GSW started to win.
According to his stupid argument everyone is better than Pop, because these last championships brought rookie coaches, you have Kerr, then Lue and now Nurse.
That shows how little impact they have in the actual game.

i am a kawhi fan. also: no part of me died.

definitely less of spurs fan with no td, manu, kawhi tbh. my three favorite players ever.
Please don't insult Timmy, Manu and TP's loyalty by rooting for Kawhi. Again, go cheer for the Raptors.

It sure as wasn't even that sore, didn't prevent his ass from going to a Dodgers game with Magic last spring.

Lest we all forget amongst this KD heroics talk, a timeline of Kawhi's situation with the Spurs shows ABSOLUTELY NO PARALLELS.

October 2017: After missing training camp, Kawhi declared out for Spurs opener.
San Antonio Spurs F Kawhi Leonard to sit out opener vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

November 2017: Parker makes his season debut for the Spurs, only 7 months after rupturing his left quadriceps tendon in May.
Tony Parker says Kawhi Leonard could return in 'a couple of weeks', after looking good in practices.

Parker says: "You know the Spurs, they are going to take no risks. It’s going to be ... a couple of weeks, three weeks, they are not going to take any risks, but he is looking good so far.”

December 2017: Kawhi returns and looks rusty (13/6/1 in 16 minutes) and over the next few weeks, is in and out of the lineup as a precaution due to soreness. He doesn't look nearly as athletic as he did in the 2016-2017 season.
Kawhi Leonard is Back, and the Spurs’ Season Starts Now

January 2018: Kawhi declared out indefinitely
Kawhi Leonard (quadriceps) out indefinitely to continue rehabilitation from injury

February 2018: Despite being cleared of any structural injury by the Spurs' medical staff, Kawhi continues to sit out.
Report: Kawhi Leonard choosing to sit out despite being medically cleared

    (...)

March 2018: In the midst of fighting for 8th place in the West to make the playoffs, Parker declares his injury "100 times worse" than Kawhi's.
Tony Parker: My quad injury was 'a hundred times worse' than Kawhi Leonard's

April 2018: Pop's wife dies, Kawhi "planned" to return to the lineup but didn't. Pop: "you'll have to ask Kawhi and His Group that question."
Report: Kawhi Leonard Planned Return to Spurs After Erin Popovich's Death

April 2018: Spurs barely make the playoffs, Warriors sweep them in the first round. Kawhi not on the bench to cheer the team on and goes to NYC.
Warriors eliminate Spurs, move on to round 2 of NBA Finals

May 2018: Kawhi spotted attending Dodgers game in LA with Magic Johnson.

June 2018: Gregg Popovich travels to California, meets with Kawhi Leonard.
"Leonard wants a trade to Los Angeles, preferably the Lakers over the Clippers, league sources said. He has privately maintained that he no longer wants to play in San Antonio and will eventually alert rival teams considering trades for him that his intention is to sign in Los Angeles when he can become a free agent in 2019, league sources said."

June 2018: NBA Draft approaches, Kawhi's camp declares Kawhi "100%" magically, just in time for a possible trade.
Report: Kawhi Leonard nearing full health

    and now....

NBA Finals 2019: Kawhi Leonard says he can relate to Kevin Durant's 'devastating' injury, wishes him 'a speedy recovery'
"I hope he has a speedy recovery and just gets healthy, and I hope that he's going to be OK mentally, just throughout the whole rehab process," Leonard said, "because, like I said before, we work so hard to either play in the Finals or just play in the NBA, and when you're not playing, it's hard to wrap your mental around it. But I'm pretty sure he's going to attack each day and get better and come back strong."

Yes, "work so hard to play in the NBA." Like going to Dodgers games with the owner of the arch rival team while under contract. Or like dodging Spurs staffers while on a paid vacation in NYC doing "rehab."

knew it from the start of the season.
is it legal for a team to offer a player part ownership in the team?

    cause the raps are ringing.

Karma never catches up to these star players dude. Most of them who want out go on to get their accolades and championships.

The generation of loyal superstars died with Tim Duncan. We are fortunate to have witnessed the greatness that was Tim Duncan.

The sad part is, people will conveniently forget all about that and use the Kawhi narrative against the Spurs.

That's ok though. These setbacks are temporary. Spurs were bugger than any one player and they will always be bigger than any one player.
    Excellent points all around bro.

Kawhi having to suck it up and stay on Toronto, against his will, to save face vs leaving a championship team and totally exposing himself.

    Win/win either way, tbh.

Kawhi almost threw away game 6 too by a stupid pass to Danny when he was trapped in front court by one of the best defenders in the league. Had the Sixers not be dysfunctional, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

I ing live in Toronto. You guys just have to watch it on TV and suffer the pain.

I have to now endure Raps fans talking to me for a long time. And I have to accept the fact and tolerate their . Haha.
Damn, that's rough. About half of my close friends jumped on the Raptors/Kawhi bandwagon in the finals. It ingb sucks.

Danny talked about Pop last month. him too.
They're both ungrateful pricks. Had Kawhi gone to Indy after the draft, I guarantee you he wouldn't be the player he became under pop. Danny would still be playing in Sebian basketball league. The Spurs gave him his career after he was cut by multiple teams. These guys conveniently forget what the Spurs did for them. That's ok. It's their time to gloat. Our time will come. I so hope he goes to LA and the Spurs get the pleasure to knock his ass out of the playoffs. He's a great player no doubt. But I can't ever ignore his ery .

Kawhi will be a god in Toronto even if he leaves, greatest Raptor ever after one season lol.. This really was the dream season for him, not only does he ring with legendary moments along the way, the narrative has changed to him being right about sitting out after what happened to Durant even if it's not comparable at all smh.. People only care about winners.

PATFO better do everything to make us compe ive these next years. It's already one of the worst trades ever, if he re-signs it's confirmed. If he goes to Lakers it will be the worst nightmare.
