"Radical socialism" is literally anything Republicans don't like and policies that help people represent "the destruction of the American dream" to them.

Anyone who disagrees -- or speaks ill of the Great Man -- is characterized as a deadly, demonic foe.

    Nothing cultlike about that.

Statehood for Puerto Rico was on the 2016 GOP platform; now McConnell calls it "full bore socialism."

Anything that might tend to mitigate GOP minority rule is socialism by that fact alone.

"socialism" is the Repugs' slander spewed at anything the Dems propose.

Repugs know their stupid, ignorant, brainwashed base will believe that the Dems' so-called (by the Repugs) socialism will turn USA into Cuba, VZ, USSR, and their stupid, ignorant, exploited, lied-to base is gulled every time.

Nor does his cult mob understand

Does Trump understand how global warming works?

Morgan interjected. “What people want to hear about climate change,” the host said, “is that you, basically, understand that almost every scientist that looks into this believes climate change is a very real and present danger. That if we don’t tackle it now — and America has to lead the way, along with China and India — then we’re going to be in serious trouble. Do you accept that?”

    Trump replied:
“Well, you know, you just said it. China, India, Russia, many other nations, they have not very good air.

Not very good water, in the sense of pollution and cleanliness. If you go to certain cities — I’m not going to name cities, but I can — if you go to certain cities, you can’t even breathe. And now that air is going up. So, if we have a clean — in terms of a planet, we’re talking about a very small distance between China and the U.S. or other countries.”

“I believe that there’s a change in weather, and I think it changes both ways,” Trump said.

He then went on to his established riff about how “climate change” used to be called “global warming” but “that wasn’t working.”

    This
isn’t true and doesn’t make much sense.

When he’s talking about clean water, he’s not expressing concern about carbon dioxide absorption in our oceans.

He appears instead to be talking about old-school 1970s-era pollution: smog and soot

    Before the 2016 campaign,

he slammed concerns about carbon dioxide because they would lead to more wind power,

    a
nemesis of his because he worried about the aesthetics of one of his golf courses in Scotland where a wind farm was built nearby.

the process behind global warming involves a complex set of contributors, but the effect itself is fairly simple.

During his time in politics, though,

Trump doesn’t seem to have ever articulated an understanding of the case that scientists are presenting,

choosing instead to talk in gauzy terms about clean air as though he were channeling
    Woodsy Owl.

Maybe Trump chooses to make that transition to downplay the importance of climate change.

Or maybe he doesn’t understand what climate change is.

Morning Joe panel cracks up laughing after Trump busted for spotlighting ‘the same black guy’ at rallies

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough busted President Donald

Trump for planting the same black supporter behind him at multiple rallies

    — including his 2020 campaign kickoff in Orlando.

The “Morning Joe” hosts watched video of Trump attacking his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton, who isn’t running again,

    and

compared his stale themes to Elvis Presley’s concerts in the months before he died from a heart attack in 1977.

“Hillary’s not running, sweetie,” co-host Mika Brzezinski said. “Come on, old guy.”

Scarborough recognized the one black supporter seated behind Trump, among a sea of white faces wearing red “Make America Great Again” hats.

Rick Wilson hilariously ridicules the ‘formal flip-flops’ and ‘dress cargo pants’ worn by Florida Trump supporters

“First off, it is grievance-palooza,” Wilson said.

“There is not this affirmative feeling about the greatness of our country or some vision for the future.

It is, he is the avatar of my anger,

he is going to smite the people I can’t smite.”

there were a lot of people there, classic Florida, a smattering of Q-Anon,”

“There were people wearing their formal flip-flops and their dress cargo pants,”

the speech as “a greatest hits tour.”

“This is the boy band now reduced to touring the state fair,

the same song from a couple of years ago

it hasn’t expanded his base one iota,”

there is no boundary he can cross with them that loses their vote.

The ones committed enough to go show up in that room tonight

live in a completely separate political sphere that is hermetically sealed,” Wilson argued.

“They live inside Donald Trump’s definition of reality.”
“He can tell them the wall is 3,000 feet long and made of solid gold and has alligator moats and they’ll say of course it does.

It is all in their head, of course, but they believe what he tells them and it doesn’t matter,”

Here are 7 wild, bizarre and pathetic moments from Trump’s ‘campaign launch’

    1. He said Democrats “want to destroy our country as we know it.”

    2. If Democrats win in 2020, “they would shut down your free speech,” Trump said.

    3. He continued to make up lies about and attack Hillary Clinton — who isn’t running.

    4. After saying Democrats would go after their enemies with the law, Trump suggested Attorney General Bill Barr might still go after Hillary Clinton.

    5. Trump continued to deny that the tariffs he imposes, which are just import taxes, are actually taxes on Americans.

    6. Trump claimed he was “officially” launching his campaign, and much of the media bought into this lie. But it made no sense.

    7. Trump rolled out one of his favorite and most absurd lies: that he was responsible for legislation that was passed under President Barack Obama.

Trump Campaign Comps Orlando for Rally Expenses After Stiffing Payments to Multiple Cities

President Donald Trump‘s re-election campaign is reportedly

paying Orlando upfront after stiffing other towns and cities

for the public expenditures that have resulted from his political events.

    The Orlando Sentinel, which
rejected Trump on Tuesday in a column from their editorial board, says the

    city
has received the first $72,000 installment of the $145,771.34 the campaign owes for Tuesday night’s rally.

Local news sources in El Paso, TX report the Trump campaign still owes the city over $470,000 from a previous event.
