Why? Bijan was hanging all day at USC on an official. Texas can't put their eggs all in one basket, you have to keep recruiting until signing day from all angles.
Everyone needs to be prepared for the Evans recruitment to be all over the place, regardless whether or not we're in his top 5. His brother probably wants him to go to Texas, so there will always be a chance. Is it worth it?.... who knows.

We purport to recruit kids who fit our culture.
Im guessing he is a good kid with a good worth ethic because if he is not, let him stand outside the gate while the other kids swim and eat.
Hes not eating my damn brisket and doing awesome cannonballs.
You’re 100% right. I just said that I’m worried that it will affect it, not that they shouldn’t pursue other RBs in fear of scaring Bijan. I understand how recruiting works, I just made a simple observation.
If we win, we will get one of these premier backs. The LSU game is huge
I'm a big proponent of the idea that the current season's success has little to no effect on the decision of the current high school senior's decision, but it has a profound effect on the decision of the junior class.
In other words, who we pick up in the 2020 class is based on how we preformed last year not this up coming season.
Unless we do something extraordinary like win a Heisman or get to the national le game. That is usually a total game changer. Demas picking aggy over us isn't likely to change just because we have a good year and they have a 8 win season.
For the record, I'm not concerned about USC at the moment, we all know that Clay Helton is a dead man walking, what concerns me is who their next coach might be. If they pick up Urban Meyer, I'm pretty sure he will have them back to the days when Pete Carroll was there. That is when the West Coast will like be pretty much shut down for the elite 5'star kids.
Guys-
I won't be able to post much until later tonight, so please feel free to fire away and don't wait on me.
Happy Friday.
By the way, Inside Texas says add QB Ja'Quinden Jackson to the visitors list for tomorrow.
So basically, his coaches made him go and apologize for acting like a little and jeopardizing his teammates from potential Texas offers in the future. North Shore coaches not ing around.
Okay, who let the troll in? Doesn't Blair have his own Texas Recruiting Thread he can post in?

You can’t be serious. Where did this come from? And if true, ing embarrassing.
I have a friend who is very close to eric Nahlin. He texted me this exact thing last night.
Did you get this from IT?
did he delete the tweet? i don't see his reply on his account
Inside Texas mentioned at least one of the North Shore coaches wanted Evans to go, and the UT coaches didn't even know he was coming.
It wasn't a mutually agreed upon thing set up in advance.
He deleted it.
Sounds like they're doing the same for A&M and visiting them as well.
North Shore has kids committed to schools all over the nation, but not a single one is currently committed to a school in Texas. Actions speak louder than words.
Hope D'ville kicks their butt this year.
concurred. Like you note, barring some huge impact kind of event (us being in the natty, a&m having a losing season, etc), this year's results generally have very limited, if any, impact on the current class. I've seen that as well.
And it's probably even more along these lines with the early signing day, which means those who do sign then will have even less to view (bowls/playoffs).
the guy already seems to act aloof as it is. I'm sure he was a barrel of laughs if he didn't want to go in the first place.
NS just made it worse. “Sorry I didn’t want to go to the dance with you.... there I said it, mom. Can we go now?”
You have Dallas/Ft worth area sewn up with the Duncanville thing and Beatty and it’s not like you’re shut out of all of Houston at all. Bryan Carrington is still a force there. Maybe NS kids can recruit UT for offers if they want them.
Orangebloods confirmed 2021 OT Savion Byrd (Ducanville) is visiting this weekend. He’s definitely atop the list for OL in 2021.
