Last contract, $10 million and change.

I hope the Spurs can re-sign him at the same price, or near it. However, I don't think there's much chance he'll be significantly better in future years, than he was last season. Anything over, oh, $12 million would look a lot like one of PATFO's infamous loyalty contracts, rather than an earned contract.

Besides White, and maybe LMA the last months of the season, did we have any other player with a better season?

Sign him July 1st, blank check.

He’s kinda got the Spurs by the balls on this one. He’ll be a good resign but for a lot more than he’s worth. Glad he’s got bird rights I spose

yep. It was cool at 7/10 million. A long term 3 year contract will screw us.

I wonder if all that Bogdonavich talk is merely posturing to affect the Gay negotiations?

Correlating ESPN Real Plus Minus Wins to NBA salaries, Rudy Gay was worth $15,944,154 in value last year.

Well, there's a little comfort in that, if the Spurs do offer Gay significantly more. I hope PATFO can restrain themselves, and offer no more than 2 years, with the second year a team option. Gay's foot problems are probably not going away completely.

2 year MAX deal for Rudy with 2nd year only 2-3M guaranteed please. So basically he get his max salary year 1 + 2/3M in “year two” which ups his max for one year deal. I don’t think that one year total would be far off from what he would get if he signed a two year deal with another team since I don’t see anyone maxing him.

I like his efficiency. But, he's a ticking time bomb, waiting for an injury to happen that'll take him into retirement.

He’s Spurs’ best 6th man. Can shoot over any defender, creates mismatches, high 3pt percentage. Other bench Mills/Bertans/Belli streaky and defense lisbility. Walker has yet to show his value and consistency. I don’t know if we see Samanic/Keldon. So Gay has the best value. I like Spurs bring in an athletic SF and backup PF/C that should help with the minutes and his legs fresh

i'm fine with keeping him going on short term deals. dont want to lock into 3 year deals or anything like that. ideally a 2 year deal with only a partial guarantee on the 2nd. but he'll get paid a healthy amount for year 1
