I imagine a trade could/would look something like:
Houston receives: Jimmy Buckets
Boston receives: Clint Capela
Philly receives: Eric Gordon, Marcus Smart, + draft pick
Where do you rank them in the West?
Rumors are heating up that he’s their top target, and that they’re currently working a deal to move Capela & Gordon’s contracts to clear the space necessary to sign Jimmy. They’d have 3 stars but would lose some depth.

Deck chairs on the anic . . .
i can't see Ainge wanting Capela
PJ Tucker could also be moved but I’ve read that Houston wants to hang onto him since he’s a good role player on a cheap deal.
If they lose both Capela and Gordon then we have to see who they target to replace Capela. Too soon to say anything at this point about their potential. Lets say they go after Brook Lopez, if they get him then they are the favorite to win the west imo.
Can Jimmy chuck 6 threes a game? Why is Morey abandoning the 3 ball?
Why would Boston make rockets be able to beat them ?
Ofcourse harden has ball 22 seconds throws it to butler with 1 on clock
rumors are that boston is interested. they are definitely in need of a center.
Butler is aging badly. Needs the ball in his hand and his defense is no longer there.
They'd only have about $10 million in capspace after cap holds are figured in if they salary dumped Gordon and Capella. Their only chance at Butler is through getting Philly to trade him.
They team was at its peak in 2018. Gutting their roster even further to add Butler, who isn't even a great fit and will be relegated to watching harden dribble the clock out and chuck step back threes, isn't really that concerning. Theyll have to likely trade Gordon tucker or Capella to get it done. And then they're left with minimum contracts to fill the roster out.
Spurs really dodged a bullet with CP3 tbh
Losing both Gordon and Capela for Butler isn't that significant of a move IMO..
The West doesn't have any great teams, though, so they could still win it..
Are CP3 and Harden going to be able to coexist another full season?
one could argue the rockets are favorites in the west currently (with klay injured and kd injured and/or leaving).
Jimmy can help that locker ro...I can’t
i think cp3 and jimmy would be fine. it’s their frustration towards harden that could cause an issue.
What?
Capela is Robert Parish (number 00) - 2.0
Boston if they can add Kemba + Capella would make them beast of the east. Philly would be a close second with Gordon and Smart.
Houston getting Butler is an overrated move. Like someone said before me... Harden is still an issue. Plus one of the things that gives him great looks is chance he might lob to Capella. It’s not just great lobs by Harden. Capella is also great positioning himself for the lob.
I love Texas but really hate this version of the Rockets.
Morey has the patience of a squirrel on meth. How many times has he torn the roster apart to no avail. That dude should have been fired years ago.
3 ball dominant players and 2 (maybe 3) of them are locker room problems.
He's like that guy in your organization that always has meetings because it looks like something is happening.
with James Harden as the best player, they would have the same status as all previous years: team with no le chances
