The Jazz were looking at Mirotic, but since he's going back to Europe, looks like they have their eyes on Bojan....they have the cap space to offer him a $15+ mil. contract and we would have to hope for a s&t...not looking good.

With all the talk of KD/KL team up today, having Jimmy Butler here is interesting. Woj was talking of JB being in Miami with Heat on Sunday and talking to Rockets in LA about a S&T when free agency starts. If Butler goes with KL to Clippers, then Galinari is in play because they have to move his contract, and Durant is going to go to Nets with Kyrie. Nets doctor did the surgery on his Achilles tendon. And the Knicks will be the team with all the cap space in the world looking for bad contracts to absorb with first round picks attached. If the Spurs are really wanting Bogdonovic, or even a player like Galinari, they will need to be ready to move and move quick.

I'm in agreement with the others earlier in this thread:

Charlotte now needs a placeholder point guard while they tank, and Mills would be perfect

Mills for Marvin Williams. , Mills+Milutinov for Williams, it's not like the Spurs are going to sign him. I think Williams is washed up, but I would hate to see Mills getting underserved minutes and hurting the progress of White or Walker or Murray.

I could see that happening for the Clippers.

Kawhi likely doesn't want to carry aging and injury-prone co-stars (in part because he aspires to be both).

The Clippers young, hungry lineup (ala Jerry West) might appeal to Kawhi a bit more.

Charlotte is looking at Kemba and Lamb walking along with TP retiring. They'd be left with Monk, Bridges, Bacon, and Graham. Heard they are looking at Rozier, Mudiay, Payton ... send some combo of Mills/Belli/Bertans to Hornets, whoever is cheaper for Jordan to swallow, send Williams to Pacers so we can do a S&T for Boggy.

Not unless your sending Batum somewhere like the Knicks who will have the cap space to absorb the contract, will probably cost at least a first round pick, but you would have those contracts off your books.

Man, if the Clippers end up with a pairing of Kawhi and Jimmy Butler, then they would have done what the Spurs should have done in that draft. Draft both Kawhi and Jimmy. I'd have great respect for Jerry West if he could pull that off. I think they'd be a great pairing. I think it would be like a Jordan/Pippen type combination. Jimmy plays defense and can also run the PG like Pippen did at times.

Vucevic deal is solid, they couldn't really let him go since Orlando doesn't attract FAs, but it's one of those moves that just confirms a treadmill future

Not only that, but we could S&T Gallo for Butler and assemble a Kawhi-Butler-Horford Big Three. That core with the depth we'd still have would be le favorites, imo. I still think KD should be our top priority as a second star if Kawhi's coming, though.

Why did they draft Bamba only to turn around and spend that much money on a veteran who disappeared in the playoffs?
