That's par for the course. Borderline all-stars/guys that make an all-star team here or there get paid like superstars. It's always been that way. I can't remember the last time one of those type of players took a significant discount.

I read Danny was going to wait for Kawhi’s decision first ... you would think that Danny re-signing in Toronto means Kawhi is staying with the raptors

If infact Green decides tonight and as expected S bag doesn't, then the former is probably re-signing with the Raptors because if the latter goes to the Lakers (I'd have to see it to believe it, but we'll see), they won't be able to sign him anyway nor will anyone else have a chance to win the championship.

I'd actually rather S bag signs with the Lakers as opposed to re-signing. Anything beats the embarrassment of seeing a team get an elite asset for an extended period for virtually nothing. Plus, the Spurs will be somewhat vindicated.
