I think Pau really believed that he should have been starting, or at least getting a lot of minutes, so he may still have some redass over the way it went down. But the Spurs gave him what he wanted, and handed him way more in the buyout than he deserved.

No... I signed a contract with the Spurs to play for a certain number of years... If in traded or benched, then that means the team didn't fulfill their part (by ur logic)...because the contract was for a specific team... If that wasn't the case Steph could simply go to LA and play for the Lakers without any change to the language of the contract... But that's not the case... So if ur gonna say Kawhi didn't fulfill his contract by being injured and not playing, you have to say if a team benches a guy or trades him, they didn't fulfill their end because he signed a contract to PLAY for that specific team... (remember this is your logic) sounds stupid when you look at it from both sides, right?
