They were all #29 - did not realize that. Kinda creepy.
The Spurs have two teenagers with promise this year. Hopefully they can improve and help out this season.
2016: Murray at #29
2017: White at #29
2019: Keldon at #29
From a statistical standpoint of hitting on those late picks not sure too many other scenarios could’ve been more promising.

Not easy pulling NBA players with low picks consistently, despite what some seem to believe.
But Pop and the Spurs front office is sh!t, MB. Just ask any one of our resident basketball gurus is this place. PATFO are just a bunch drunk idiots, riding Tim Duncan’s coattails, even after retirement.
Miss pop ing him out
True. You’d never know the Spurs have only missed the playoffs in 4 of the 46 seasons since inception in 1973 by reading some of these morons’ brain droppings.
i'm not used to these positive posts about PATFO tbh... very un-spurstalk like...
their late first rounders pan out at an astounding rate. its really been their FA game, and more specifically, the loyalty contracts which draw deserved criticism. that and pop's rotations
Tbf only tony and maybe beno? was resigned of those mentioned
Water is wet.
- splitter was re-signed and was a critical piece to a championship team (though he wasn't that big a factor in the finals)
- hill was a pop favorite that even allowed the spurs to dangle tony in trade offers, and his ended up being good enough to net us a lottery pick via trade after we used up all his cheap rookie deal seasons
- kyle anderson ended up being a good player for us, given where he was drafted. it was a financial decision not to bring him back, not a basketball one. lord knows we could have used him last year as a wing defender
- cory joseph and ian mahinmi carved out long NBA careers
those are all quality players, whether they were spurs lifers or not
No doubt atleast other teams wanted them and picked where they were u cant ask for much more
2012 and 2013 drafts were a waste. didnt have a 1st in 2012 because we had to send that pick to dump RJ. then drafted denmon in 2nd round
in 2013 we picked livio and deshaun thomas. granted, looking back at the 2013 draft, not really anybody of note available after we took livio. jazz stealing gobert 1 pick before us really ed us. think crabbe is legitimately the best player who was picked after gobert in that draft![]()
most guys picked in that range wash out and dont live to see another contract anywhere
Hoping kj keeps up the trend
Gino and scola were also good finds later
Leon smith and cory alexander were #29
