Timmy was the "Culture" of the Spurs. Not Pop. LMA came to play with the Spurs because of him. After he left LMA and Kawhi demanded to be traded. Pop and the Spurs owe everything to him.
Tim was one of the greatest superstars of all Time to not allow outside factors, influences make all kinds of decisions for him. So he was a superstar in a small market. He never allowed Talking Heads to convince him that he needed to leave that market for a better shoe deal or more commercials or whatever. He stayed focused on winning and being a part of the team, and a part of the community. Leonard I think let outside influences reshape his thinking. I think when he was drafted he was pretty humble. Not anymore.

It took Lebron 10 days and durant about 8 days to make a decision. Aldridge took 4 days. Till july 4.

Lebron knew of his decision 2 years in advance and Durant one year in advance. The rest was PR spin.

that means the Spurs would have to beat the Lakers with Nephew, LeBum and AD. No way that happens
In 2003 Tim was basically the only all star we had. The Admiral was on his way out, Tony and Manu were rookies.

This Lakers team is old and their coaching staff isn’t good. LeBum will turn 35 soon, AD is injury prone and nephew’s quad won’t last even if they do ‘Load Management’

The health of all of these guys is the major X Factor. Anthony Davis does miss time. But even if he plays a full 80+ games you can’t really win with just him. He never won jack in New Orleans with the team built around him. So that means LeBron James and number 2 better play a lot of games. And we have seen nothing from number 2 in his career to indicate he will play anything close to a full schedule. It would not surprise me at all if the Lakers are sitting out LeBron James during most back to back’s this season, and more. He’s going to be careful considering that groin injury last year.

if the lakers land kawhi then the only chance the spurs have of advancing past them in the POs is if the lakers' plane blows up.

Don’t be so sure on it Kawhifanboy. Frank Vogel it’s not a good coach and it is for sure there will be drama with him and LeBron during the season.

What kind of bashing did they did? Just making sure if I got the same details.
Of course he avoids this one. Dude wanted out plain and simple and there was nothing they could’ve done anymore. Pop and frenchie opened their mouths because it was already over. Jalen Rose was saying he was out in like December and no one wanted to believe it.

LeBron is 35, AD is a cripple, and Load Management is a got that takes advantage of teams missing two All Stars as well a potential cripple. It's not a tall order to beat them, tbh.

I would be shocked if we don't hear Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to the Lakers by mid-afternoon tomorrow.

Rondo, KCP, McGee, & Stephenson must have verbal commitments from the Lakers because it's impossible for me to understand why these players have not been picked up. I think RFA Kelly Oubre Jr is waiting too. If Kawhi and Danny leave head to LA, then he'll get a 4 year offer from the Raptors, and the Suns will match.

Lakers, Raptors, and a couple dozen players, and some other teams are being held up by Kawhi. Let's go. Get it done...

Its weird, the BSPN types have amnesia when it comes to the 2017-2018 season for Nephew. No hard questions about his actions at all. On the rare occasion when he was asked about his last year in SA - what happened etc. , he would just say "Now is not the time to answer that question." Or "I have nothing to say about that". All robotic rehearsed answers straight from Uncle Branch Manager. And that was that.
The amnesia comes from #2 wanting to be in LA. If he wasn't interested in going to LA then they would have hammered him for what happened in SA.

Players are teflon while playing, but that changes when they retire. Just look at Magic. He’s mocked for pretty much everything he’s done outside of basketball, and the movie house chain he started.
#2 will not be talked about once he retires. He's going to be one of those guys that you never hear about once his career is over.

I would also say for the current generation of players none of them have really been teflon. Kobe,Lebron,Durant,Shaq,Duncan have all dealt with different types of criticism from the media. I felt in Duncan's case it wasn't deserved but he dealt with the crap of being called boring and dull. #2 is the first superstar I have seen in in this current era not to endure any type of criticism for his diva antics. Hence why I feel he is teflon.

A potential Kawhi signing shuts the door on all of those players. They’re waiting, because if he doesn’t sign, they’ll be back. You can carve out a nice paycheck being theLakers cap space holder year after year. Just ask KCP.

I'm curious why Danny would sign in LA for the vet min or even less, when he could get so much more with a different team? He's already won two rings so the lure of ringing isn't that critical. This is Danny's last chance to get as much money as possible. He's already said he's going to take his time signing a contract and made a mistake in signing his last contract so quickly with SA with a discount. He'll only sign in LA if he cant get a better contract somewhete else.

He's just taking his time to make it seem like he had a hard time deciding. So people can think he was really considering staying in Toronto so he doesn't come off as a bad guy. All along he knew he was going to LA. It's just a PR stunt so he doesn't look like a . He'll also write a "Thank You Toronto" letter like he did for the Spurs fans. Wouldn't be surprised if he copies and paste the lame thank you letter he wrote when he was traded. He'll choose LA. Just not sure which franchise.

He keeps emphasizing that kawhi originally asked to be traded to the Lakers last year .. he also stated that kawhi wants to to win multiple championships and that Toronto may contend for a le next season but after that it’s a question mark ..lakers give him the best chance at multiple les.. he also said Anthony Davis is the key player in this ..if Lebron retires in a few years .. Davis and Kawhi would be the most dominant duo..he also said winning a le with the clippers would be the toughest route because they have no other superstar...Chris carter also said he thinks the lakers are the best option for kawhi and hes expressed that to kawhi
