He’s never leaving Toronto then. You don’t screw the LA teams like he just did and expect to sign there in the future.

He didn't fly back to Toronto just to leave to the Lakers. The good news for the Spurs is that we should be able to compete within anyone in the west.

Even if he re-signed with Toronto, both those LA teams would be begging to get him next summer if he's available again.

The Spurs would too and he ed them over more than anybody.

If he stays with Toronto I'll get some respect back for Kawhi, atleast one superstar who doesn't take the easy way with superteams. Will never be able to root for him, but I'll be over it and treat him as just another nba player then.. Love that he would completely screw over the Lakers too.

And for the he's 100% going to L.A. crew, if all it took was an asterisk championship for him to stay, then surely that was never the case. That's easy to say before you've experienced another situation and a virtually ideal one at that.

Hopefully the league learns their lesson for next time. When elite talent becomes available, you do whatever it takes to acquire it. Unfortunately the Spurs had to be the guinea pig in this failed experiment. They're now an irrelevant, infamous laughing stock, with their reputation in tatters . . . while S bag's standing continues to grow.

I never believed in karma or "everything happens for a reason", but for those who do, how do you explain this?

He didn't fly back to Toronto just to leave to the Lakers. The good news for the Spurs is that we should be able to compete within anyone in the west.
Maybe in the regular season. Should they qualify, come the playoffs, no matter their seed, they'll likely be the most vulnerable team.

to be fair, Jalen was the one saying that Kawhi wanted out of San Antonio. He has credibility for me when it comes to KL... for now.

I never wavered. Thought the puke would stay the entire time because it's probably everything his uncle brainwashed him into thinking he should want. Look how his profile has skyrocketed.

Spurs are an embarrassment. Raptors were always a Curry/Durant injury away from ringing; they should have known that and that if they did, he'd likely stay. They also knew he was fine physically. No excuse for giving him away and giving the Raptors 3 years worth of him and with such watered down compe ion, a good chance at 2 championships. Pathetic.

Damn dude don’t let Nephew bring you down so much.....

Cris Carter: Kawhi has chosen the Double Crunch Bone-In Wings at AppleBee's for an appetizer. Stay tuned for his entree selection.

You are undervaluing this team by a mile and they will be contenders next year. Murray's return along with internal improvement from White & Walker will catapult us to the top of the standings. DDR will also be better in his 2nd year in the Spurs system.

I'll never understand why Spurs prefer or are okay with his re-signing. All the work this organization put into helping turn this piece of into what he is and some other team is about to get him for essentially free for 3 years (with a championship and counting) in the middle of his prime and you're good with that? I feel like Frank Grimes.
