    Just saw the news. leaving a le team for LA (at least it was the good LA team), but it should be more than obvious the supposed "rift" between him and the Spurs wasn't Pop, the handling of his injury, or Manu's and Tony's "comments" , but because he simply wanted the LA market. Toronto treated him like a in' king, bent over backwards for him, and he didn't think twice.

    Apologize.

    It only proved he wanted out and it was an elaborate scheme to get him shipped to Los Angeles. It was a breach of contract

    And Yup.

    The Spurs biggest mistake was believing they could either "repair" the relationship or overtime he'd change his mind. Supposedly, Leonard had been mulling over a trade request since after the '17 WCF.

    They should have made the trade while his trade value was at its peak and the "inner turmoil" between Leonard/Spurs hadn't gone public.

    Oh well....

    At least now people can get past all the narrative pushing bull Leonard, his handlers and media mouthpieces (Jabari Young, Cris Carter, Shannon Sharpe, etc.) have been saying over the last two seasons.

    He didn’t choose the Lakers and that’s all that matters to me. Still doesn’t satisfy me that we have Derozan in his place but the Spurs will be fine.

    It would appear so. Unfortunately with the way things played out, the Spurs are the ones who ended up looking bad.

    Didn’t even offer Masai a sign and trade on the way out as a thank you for surrounding him with a good team. No Gasol trade, for instance, and he was second round fodder.

    I think uncle saw LA as LeBron did a place with capspace to hold two stars and a compliant front office. Butt when LeBron came that all changed.
