Didn't say he needed to. Just saying I don't think a contending team would offer a 3-4 year contract like he's stated as wanting. I could be wrong though. Maybe a contender will offer him the length he wants if they really want him.

Maybe. But not only has Green never been on a non-contender (not counting the few seconds before he got cut in Cleveland and two years ago when Kawhi was out), but he hasn't been on a team without multiple future HoFers on it. He's won his rings, but I think he'll want more.

Getting a two year deal with them is crazy. Like I said, I doubt Danny makes it to that second year. Lakers have no draft picks, but someone will bail them out.
