He's still the most athletic player in the game but he's also a stat padder on the decline and doesn't fill an area of need. No thanks.

The only player in NBA history that has made getting a triple double a selfish thing.
    Not really

I can live with a guy trying to take advantage of the moment or even being selfish for a game or two but this guy has hijacked an entire franchise in order to build a legacy on the falsehood that he’s accomplishing something that transcends the league. Most selfish player ever... and that’s considering just how much I hate Kawhitter.

I decided to take another look at this by looking at each team and their salaries. Not many teams have the assets and salaries to make a trade for Westbrook work. The Spurs do centered around DDR, White, Murray, Walker, Forbes (not all of them) draft picks, and a vet contract like Belenelli. From OKC's perspective, any two of the four young guns, 2 number ones picks, DDR and Beli might get it done.

Westbrook is a net negative asset going forward.

Giving away one of our younguns is a no go.

But something like Derozan, Beli and a pick is interesting.

Dude literally can’t shoot anymore (not like he was a good shooter to begin with). His game is all predicated on being athletic and Father Time is going to come real soon for him.

never liked him as a player, he’s a stat guy. You’ll never see him win big because for the few things he does well, he does 10x more stupid stuff that negates everything.

How many years does Beal have left on his contract? Are the Wizards looking to shed his salary and start over, or has he only got a short term left on his contract? If he's still got a few years and the Wizards are looking to start a rebuild, maybe see if they want DDR? They could then either buy him out or let him expire.

Beal becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2021.

I’m in San Diego right now and saw Westbrook checking into a hotel. He was with a bunch of black dudes in SUV’s. He was talking to someone on the phone. Maybe his check because he was smiling

Beal instead of DeRozan would be a perfect fit for us but if the Wizards trade him they want real assets back including multiple first rounders and young players. Especially after they saw those AD & PG trades (and even Harris before that).

Never have been a fan of this guy. He cut from the mold of Iverson-Marbury-Francis. Stereotypical super athletic combo guard who is a chucker. His biggest strength is his athletic ability and that will decline in spades since he's in his 30's.

Spurs Pro/Con questions: Could he sacrifice his stats and mentions for MVP to fit into the Spurs system? Would he make the young players better by his example on the court?

OKC Pro/Con questions: Could they afford the loss in ticket sales by trading off their most exciting player? They can't put draft picks on the court to fill up the arena. Who is Demarr Derozen?

I can see the Rockets pulling him. Maybe dump CP4 with loads of picks or a package with Gordon and others and tons of picks.

It actually does; that trade would work.
