I agree with this thread. Feels more like the 2003-February 2008 era of the West being a dogfight between multiple contenders, rather than a foregone conclusion. (The 2012-2014 era was fairly similar out west, but we all knew the Heatles were making the Finals out East.) But since 2015 the NBA has been super boring because the ending has been pretty much a given since October. Also, I hope we'll see less "tank" games from contenders and stars playing 70, 75, 80 games, like in the 2000s, instead of the customary 60-65 which has become the new norm.
