At least with the Skunker year, after an injury-plagued regular season the Spurs showed heart upsetting a #2 seed powerhouse that won the championship the very next year.
2011, the Spurs were the best team in the West the vast majority of the regular season, until the wheels completely fell apart circa March. April was just a fitting ending in culmination. Embarrassment.

rondo/mcgee/cook were statistically among the worst players in the league last season... and you cant tout guys like kcp/caruso/dudley/horton tucker as anything but roster filler
in RPM:
Cook ranked 94 out of 100 point guards. He can shoot pretty well, but other than that is an undersized SG who can't play D
Rondo was 91 out of 100
McGee ranked 64 out of 70 centers
caruso/kcp/dudley were all very very average. none of them move the needle
AD/Bron/Green should all be very good... boogie is a wildcard
