That's what they're already doing with Westbrook.
OKC would take DeMar because they want a star caliber player to fill stands with while rebuilding but if Spurs want Westbrook it will cost us DeMar, Belinelli and likely Walker and a few future 1st round picks. I would not give them Murray or White, no way.
Spurs likely will pass on going for Westbrook because his salary is so high per year and they like DeMar.
That's what they're already doing with Westbrook.
Yes but if reports are true Westbrook wants out they would look at DeMar as a player to help fill seats for them.
Meh, I think OKC fans would be fine with a Philly-type "process" of ty but fun young players for awhile. It's the only pro game in town.
The only pro game except for the football Sooners.
Rockets now in the mix![]()
Murray White are untouchable with the fanbase. Hopefully front office realizes this from a fanbase support perspective
Harden and Westbrook were pretty good they made the Finals in 2012 and choked to Miami, but they had that KD guy.
Both players have yet to make the Finals yet as the man.
If Spurs do show interest in Westbrook, DeMar, Marco, Forbes and a 1st should be plenty. I would never offer Murray, Walker and White.
Please don't trade for Westbrook. I don't even know if he would improve the team if we'd replace Metu with him. I'd rather let White and Murray play and have DeRozan on a much cheaper and shorter deal than to be locked into a 4 year contract of an inefficient Westbrook on the athletic decline
nah!
Didn't Oscar Robertson have kind of a similar reputation?
It’s the knicks. This was their big summer and they flopped hard.
No thanks. I advocated for Cousins because he was a min 1 year to fill a Big need. Westbrook is a 4 years supermax contract and Spurs already have multiple guards, combo, bench, G-League, you name it, in that position. So nope.
Thought I remembered reading it in Simmons' book. That Oscar and Wilt weren't liked very well around the league for being major statpadders. Wilt especially though.
Well the real problem isn't Westbrook and Spurs developing younger players it's that one of DeMar or LMA would have to go. There is no way to make a big 3 of DeMar, LMA, Westbrook happen the Spurs just can't do it don't have enough large contracts to dish out. So to a degree acquiring Westbrook Spurs would have to pay a huge price and they already have a nice roster set up for next season. It's up to Spurs and I would be ok with DeMar being traded but the more stars you have the better in this league. So the reality is it doesn't change much for the Spurs other than getting talked about on ESPN and media circles.
That’s nearly double derozen salary no thanks
our guards are already loaded. Spurs will contend this season! Go Spurs Go!
