Are the Spurs potentially making other moves? This guy allegedly has sources and has heard some “rumbles”. More on his Twitter. Is he legit? Anyone know?

no clue if he's legit, but this was his earlier tweet in that thread

I'm for the trade but none of the 3 ...the trade is fair as it is and mill derozan is almost exactly even in salary but I would ad a metu or even a mulitinov(spelling) but wiping 100 million from there books and they getting a player who is on star level a veteran to help bring along youth and in two years tons of cap space they would never have. It's win win they remain compe ive save freakin 100 million and open up a lot of cap space in two years when youth hopefully serves them. If Westbrook was two years younger then yes but he isn't he actually about 9months older than DD.

The rumbles about SA kicking the tires on making a trade for Westbrook.
End me if that happens. I’ll drink Draino with TPark.

If it’s just mills, Derozan and a pick or two for Westbrook I’d say that would be worth the risk... if it involves any of young big 3 ( Murray , white ,Walker) I’d pass

Totally with you I'd add metu or Mulitinov (spelling) and tops two second rounders prefer one but would give two if it was a deal breaker.

Why would you want to keep Murray in a trade for Westbrook. He’d be completely redundant and is also on his way to being paid $20 mil per. If the Spurs make the trade they’re not keeping him regardless. Walked is also a bad fit, only White makes sense to be kept, especially since his extension is a couple of years away.

If anyone wants Westbrook they’ll have to be quite OK with losing two of the young dudes and picks, otherwise it’s a pipe dream.

we wouldn't be able to make adequate use of westbrook + murray + white + walker. if you're willing to take on westbrook, you should be willing to part with 1 of those (i wouldnt deal white)

    Agreed.

What would be our depth chart if it's Mills and DDR for Westy?

    Westbrook/White/Murray
    Walker/Belli

    Makes no sense.

Either White or Murray must be traded for a SG if the Westbrook trade really happens.

or you just include one of them in the WB trade, as OKC would likely demand

I’d do derozen Mills belli and some picks for Westbrook .. unfortunately with brook contract Idk if that’s possible and even if it was okc wouldn’t do it on the fact Westbrook is locked up 4 years derozen is a free agent next year although at the same time they would be clearing up cap so idk. But I will be pissed if they trade any of the young core.

On the other hand it could be a brilliant move as we only might be able to lock up one of Murray or white

Why the would we want Westbrook? No no no no!!! I wouldn't trade Marco, an Mills for him. Westbrook is one of the most dumbest an most selfish players in the league. You can always count on him to take the dumbest shot possible when the game is on the line. I wouldn't trade for him for . Our young core is better than most young cores an will take us further into the future.

I'd rather give up Lonnie Walker than either one of those 2. Lonnie is a better player but I just love those 2 an what they bring. Lonnie's ceiling to me is Carmelo Anthony at best. Not skill set, but his get bucks an not really set his teammates up.

    this

    combo guard core with
    Westbrook/Murray
    White/Walker

would be the best in the league

got to understand tho if we do that we won’t be able to resign Murray or white . We would be paying Aldridge 20 plus million Westbrook 40 million ... there’s no way we’d be able to resign our young core of walker Murray or white

I don't mind us trading one of Murray/White/Walker at some point but I certainly wouldn't do it today. We still don't really know what we have with Walker on an NBA court yet (although we're starting to get a good idea) and I'd like a bit better look at Murray's development but why not keep these guys while they're cheap and see what sticks. As long as they live up to the hype these guys won't be any less valuable in their mid-20's on a higher paid deal.

lakers were better defensively with rondo off the court. he's living on reputation because people like you still think he's a good player
Well. I sure wouldnt want him gaurding me in the half court. Lakers were a mess last year. Plus I mever said he was a good player. I assumed he would start over Quin Cook and Lebron would want Robdo over him in that starting lineup. Why everyone has to be an asshole on this forum to try and make a point?

this. I think Murray can be more effective than Westbrook as soon as this upcoming season, especially when you factor in defense
