Interesting that in the three way trade neither Washington nor Brooklyn got Milutinov’s rights. Perhaps the Spurs aren’t done with him?

Would have liked to trade him on a team worth a .
They didn't do him any favors but in the East he will face weaker compe ion this season and he's in a contract year. He will get playing time for sure do it's up to him what he does there. It's only one season too.

Simply too many players, Carroll and Morris will take so many minutes that Bertans had necessarily to go. I expect somebody else will, too.

The Wiz saw enough value in Bertans to take on his salary without insisting on getting an additional asset. The same would not have been true for Beli.

I think Davis will be in the league awhile. Basically a slightly worse Kyle Korver. Probably get more playing time and average double digits. He’s a nice fit there if Wall ever comes back.

He'll do better in Washington where he'll have more freedom to operate.

    Dat ninja Bert,

I have been going back and forth the last few weeks trying to figure out the right things to say, and it comes down to two simple words: THANK YOU!

My family and I want to say THANK YOU to you and the people and fans of you.

THANK YOU to every one of the threes you dropped in people's grills over your ? years in the NBA.

THANK YOU Pop I’ll always be grateful for giving Davis minutes under your guidance.

THANK YOU to the Latvians! There is not a more passionate or dedicated fan base than what I’ve witnessed in Riga Time.

Through all the ups and downs – I’m glad there were many more ups! – I’ll never forget your appearance in the ASG 3 point contest (oh, wait)

While I’m looking forward to the next chapter in you career, I’ll always remember the Latvian who played San Antonio! THANK YOU!

    THANK YOU!

This kid rose from the ashes tbh, with humble beginning from small rural town in Latvia, growing up without proper bball gym, had to leave young to pursue his passion, decapitatated shooting hand finger, learned to shoot left. I remember him shoving Monroe. He’s a fighter. I wish him well. He will be missed.

Bertans was the SF that never was trusted like that. He's a shooter but he can also drive and he's a good passer. As a shooter, he can't produce of the pick and pop but he's a capable shooter coming of screens. He showed some athleticism playing above the rim finishin in both ends of the court, always coming from the outside. Davis clerarly is a better defender on a perimeter player, and can help the team defense from the 3 position with quick rotations, solid close outs and helping out inside on top of big men. He's not a PF: can't rebound, can't play or guard in the low post and he's not efficient protecting the rim as a big men.

Davis Bertans is a good professional and a nice guy. I wish he had had consistent playing time in the SF. I'll miss him.

Sad to see him go but we had to improve the team so I'm fine with it. Davis is 26 already so it seems like he is who he is and won't improve on defense anytime soon. That's probably why they shipped him out

Always liked Bertans. Best of luck to him but yes it was time to move on and he really was a no show against Denver.

Now Bertans will actually become the player he is meant to be... Pop put too much reigns on young players in his old age

Pop would have made KD a PF and he wouldn't have been nearly as effective... Similar to how he used gay right now... Gay would be so much better as a SF

If Gay had KD work ethic and mindset he truly would have been another KD, his talent wad that level

He'll be a player like Nando De Colo, who did a few things, but ultimately be forgotten about in 5 years. Welcome Mr. Morris.
