Yes. If Bullock was on board this would've been wrapped up by now.

And obviously it's nothing or the Knicks would've presumably walked away at this point and signed Morris.

Can Bullock force Knicks to honor the contract if he passed the physical? I think Bullock will not concede especially when he already knows Knicks trying to lowball him, which would make it impossible for Knicks to sign Morris
What would the text from Morris to Pop say if this happened(Knicks had to pay Bullock more?)

I didn't know who else was left. His options are a lot more limited than they were when he made his deal with the Knicks.

Think about it though. If he reaches out to either of those teams, they're going to demand to know what was wrong with his physical. The whole thing is messy at best.
Right, because the real mensches in the Knick front office just exposed themselves to a large claim unless they find a way to appease Bullock. And they've also extended an offer to Morris on that basis. Ah, but they felt good leaving Vegas...

They can if they honor their original cap room offer. Pretty much everyone knows this is BS.

Sure they can pay him, but then they can't pay Morris more than the Spurs offered. Meh... we're saying the same thing. They've promised Morris their full remaining cap. They ONLY thing they have to give Bullock is the Room Exception. It doesn't take a "mensch" to figure that out. The only trick right now is how to force Bullock to accept it.

Knicks are legally obligated to retain him if Bullock passed medical, correct? Have they signed?

So likely then the Knicks are trying to get Bullock to agree to a 1 or 2 year deal with the Room MLE with the promise of a future payday. After making public the impression that Bullock's health is in such a state as to warrant ripping up the original offer - that's no small thing. If there's no underlying basis for the Knicks' actions (ie actual serious health issue which affects his ability to perform) then they've opened up themselves to a rather large claim, especially if they are now offering $10+MM less. No reason for the Spurs to do anything other than pass the popcorn, tbh.

Now everybody’s probably advising Bullock not to take that crap fro Knicks. I think the players would understand, it’s not like they’re going to the playoffs if Morris signed

I don't actually think they are under a legal obligation, if nothing has been signed, just like Morris is under no legal obligation to the Spurs as nothing had been signed. It's just a huge black eye to the Knicks if they say " You" without a public excuse : the failed medical. The Player's Union would go nuts though...

All Knicks need to do is send Bullock to the Spurs medical staff. If he ain’t broke he’ll be broke by the time they are done with him.

This is one funny reality show. Pop/RC probably chuckling watching this unfold. I’m pretty sure Spurs could’ve just moved on but instead delighted how this backfired on Knicks.

But where is Morris in all this? Is he really seriously considering signing with these clowns?

Some team should just offer to give Bullock another physical.

Right. Even though things are quiet, I'm betting Bullock and/or his representation have their heels dug in. The absolute best outcome would be if the Knicks blinked, signed Bullock to his original offer, and Klutch got PWN3D.

The bizarre thing here is that Bullock’s Agent was heaping praise on NY GM about being professional throughout this process.

Maybe that was before they knew just how much of a haircut he'll have to take to sign now?

Often buttering someone up is the way to get what you want... As opposed to starting a huge stink. After all, you can start the stink later, but it's harder to smooth it over.

yes... would be an excellent strategic move by the knicks, who are plagued with being unable to attract big name players, to stiff a player over a very questionable injury concern.

all to achieve the master plan of signing a 4th power forward for a one year deal

Its to look shocked if they try to screw his client they may have not signed a contract but they had a verbal agreement. Also you add that New York said he failed physical not a good thing to say if you want that player to work with you plus leaves you wide open to law suits/players union and other players will definitely think twice about going to NY.
