You’re glossing over the fact that the number of conservatives that will actually go from words to action doesn’t add up. It isn’t growing either, it’s actually measurably dwindling down.

What’s likely going to happen is a shift of conservatism to a slightly more liberal form. Trump is more or less a great example of that. Socially liberal, despite the rhetoric.

It’s not much different than when there were cultural shifts in the nation. Women voting, slavery... the echo chambers in those groups denounced the impending doom of the nation. The Nation is just fine, it’s them that slowly became irrelevant.

One of the reasons the Federal government wanted women to vote in the first place was because they could only tax half the population. Also: it was an incentive to get women out of the house instead of raising their children so we could let the public education system raise the kids instead to be good little consumers. The imaginary pay gap only exists because women do choose to stay at home and raise their children and also because of the different choices men and women make about what hours to work especially after starting a family. If American women earn less than American men, why does anyone employ men? They could make a fortune and hire all women.
