How do you guys deal with asshole drivers? Tbh. This dude was testing me earlier yelling out of his window and all that stuff. I was this close to getting off but yeah, I can't afford to go to jail. But damn, my patience is running low with all of these asshole drivers that are always in a rush. Like wtf is the hurry? We used to travel by horse for s sake.

Just laugh at them when they're all ragey like that. It drives them insane.

Yeah unless you can actually afford to go to jail, there's really nothing you can do but smile and wave.

You also never know who might pull a gun on you if the whole thing escalates

Definitely, I'm almost 99% sure this dude was carrying. I figure if you're willing to just go around yelling at people and acting crazy then you probably have a reason to believe you're invincible.

It's amazing how angry people can get being inconvenienced a few seconds on the road. I had a cracker mother er pull his little .22 on me recently because little man in a big truck didn't like where I was parked when he was trying to get out, even when bigger trucks with larger boats were passing just fine.

He was threatening me with profanity and waving his little pea shooter from about 100 yards away. I just smiled back, I had my gun on me also. Wasn't about to draw on him tho. Everyone kind of smiled back at him like I did. Kinda secure knowing there were about 10 witnesses seeing this psychopath just screaming with a rabbit gun just because he had to turn the wheel a few more degrees and took maybe 2 more seconds because my rig was parked somewhere legally . Oh people.

It's crazy out there. That sounds insane tbh. I don't usually carry but I might have to start. I can't even go out without some asshole flipping me the bird because I'm actually going the speed limit.

The best is when someone rides your ass for a few blocks, then eventually changes lanes and speeds past you, and then you catch right back up to them at the next red light.

I was in Boise over the 4th weekend and it's crazy. EVERYONE drives like 2-3 miles under the speed limit, even in the fast lane. The only speeders I saw, aside from myself, almost always had out of state plates. It was definitely frustrating, but I never really angered.

I get pissed when the person ahead of me stops too early at a yellow light we both could have made. But even then, I don't even shoot them the finger.

this happens to me all the time. I just laugh to myself, like really asshole? All that show and we're still both at the exact same place.

I don't get why people think riding someone's ass is going to make him drive faster. That's a surefire guarantee that I'm going to go even slower.
And I'll act like I'm ing with my radio or AC or something.

Yeah, I'll usually try to do 3-5 over or at least try to keep up with traffic, but damn, I have people doing 10-15 over passing me honking and waving arms and . It's like calm the down bro.

It's definitely a Texas thing; worse in Texas than anywhere else I've been. I was in Ohio last summer and the drivers (and people) there were soooooo much nicer and more courteous than Texass assholes, the wild west mentality here is infuriating. Even in Manhattan the people and drivers there were better humans.

Yeah, I usually flip people off. Especially big trucks with big egos (and likely small s). They deserve it.

That's how it should be. Go the speed limit on the highway. 1 or 2 over is okay. But in Texas with the wild-west mentality the toxic culture here is that the speed limit is a soft cap where you're free to go 20 or 30 mph over if you really want to and weave through everyone else, it's disgusting.

In driver's school, they tell you to just let the assholes pass; it's not worth it. I did that for about a year, and driving was just much smoother. Of course, human nature eventually kicks in and we want to blow off steam.

If you're looking for the real answer, it is that simple. If you're looking for something that can feed your innate desire to let assholes have it, then it's a different discussion.

You driving a bucket or what, bro?

Personally, if I'm going 10 over the speed limit in the fast lane, I don't tend to cater to the assholes. Just let them pass and don't pay them any mind.

In a better world, clear-cut, hazardous break checking would be an automatic misdemeanor.

Never driven in CA. Given as high as gas prices are there I'd probably just take the lyft.

If you’re going 10 over in the passing lane and people are passing you on the right, you’re part of the problem, regardless how fast you’re going. Gtfo of the way.
