Intersting 2 year deal
Intersting 2 year deal
No sequester, fractional offsets, big spending increases, guaranteed fiscal deficit growth.
Everything conservatives have said they hate for the last decade.
(Between 2000-2008 there was a similarly slight objection to fiscal liberality -- the constant being a Republican POTUS.)
yep, and the conservatives are pissed as
Compromising with the enemy.
Tsk tsk.
Huge win for the Dems, The Best Deal Ever
And those elbows.. I'd never her.
In 2011, the sequester guaranteed periodic standoffs between Obama and the US Congress over the debt ceiling. Pelosi just let DJT off the hook until after the election.
Oh I can overlook elbows, I'm just surprised when the guys bragging that they only 10's are seen settling for a 6.
where are the fiscal hawks at now?
Texas Republican Rep. John Cornyn told Fox News, "I wish we could address debt and deficit reduction. But it’s not going to happen on this deal."

It's actually pretty sad how the GOP in the past 20 or so years play the hardball fiscal conservative meme when a Dem is in the white house, and then blow up the national credit card when they're in power.
and the Repugs run up deficits by cutting tax revenues, and by spending on the corrupt, bloated MIC, where there is no or little return except to the investors.
GOP’s ‘fiscal conservatives’ threaten to torpedo Trump’s debt ceiling deal
At least some House Republicans have threatened to torpedo Trump’s deal.
Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., a member of the House Republican leadership who tweeted out a gif of the Joker burning a giant pile of cash, complained, “Our credit card is maxed out.”
“There will be a large number of conservatives in the House who will not be able to vote for the deal, if these are indeed the terms,”
Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, normally a hardcore Trump loyalst, drafted a letter urging the president to “veto this bill because it is fiscally irresponsible.”
top Trump allies and members of the hard-right House Freedom Caucus have agreed to sign the letter, including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, and Reps. Andy Biggs and Debbie Lesko, both of Arizona.
With such a large contingent of Republicans already lined up against a deal directly negotiated by a member of Trump’s Cabinet, House GOP leaders are scrambling to decide if they must violate the so-called Hastert Rule.
So much for Trump’s art of the deal.
