I think posting a video of some random DSA meeting full of idiot kids and then saying LOL THIS IS AOCS PARTY is a dishonest shot. And I’ll call it out as such.

As for media calling her the future future of the party or whatever, i doubt it’s because they believe the party is adopting her views. “The crew” is seen as the fringe. But calling her the future is likely because she’s a young freshman congresswoman who is already (through whoever you want to point the finger at) one of the most broadcast voices in Congress. She’s also been unusually assertive in her first stint, rather than being a more quiet observer as learner. Not saying that’s right or wrong but you look at that trajectory and i don’t think it’s an outrageous claim.

I've honestly never heard AOC or any other elected Democrat (or even "Socialist") official talk like that, though, or even advocate for such behavior. Not that I follow her comments every day, per se, but I'm sure if she was introducing herself with gender pronouns or suggesting we keep the chatter to a minimum so we don't trigger people's anxiety, we'd never hear the end of it from conservatives.

Contrast with the every-bit-as-crazy happening at CPAC, with actual elected Republicans as speakers and attendees, and this doesn't really register on the concern meter for me.
