You realize that reinforces his point, right? I don't care how hard you work, going from a 25% shooter to a 35% shooter isn't an easy feat, especially since Giannis doesn't have a mid-range game either and guys with large hands have an even tougher time maintaining a consistent shoot.

The person he responded to said that's all Giannis had to do to become the best in the league, implying that it was easy to do. Which you just showed it isn't. By his 30s he may have developed that skill but his other skills will have likely diminished as well and it'd be irrelevant to who is the best next season or the season after.
jason kidd had a lot going for him that let him hang around until he was like 40. elite court vision, pnr skills, defense, none of which giannis has. kawhi is better than giannis now and always will be. wouldn't surprise me if kawhi was in the league longer than giannis tbqh
Umm, he's shown just as much hard work and dedication to his craft as your "idol," Nephew. If anyone is capable of taking the next step and surpassing Nephew, Durant and James that would be Antetokounmpo.
But, only an idiot like you would think he'll just stop improving now (when he's statistically improved every year of his career)......

No one said it was "easy to do" but Giannis has shown over the last 6 years that he has a drive and dedication that is rare (like Nephew). They are both self made and have worked hard to become elite. I wouldn't doubt that Antetokounmpo is capable of taking another step further.
I'll very own Tony Parker was a horrendous and inconsistent shooter from the perimeter his 4 or 5 yrs in the league, but eventually improved his mechanics and became a deadly pull - up mid range scorer (could never extend it consistently to beyond the arc). If Giannis can get to league average (34% or 35%) on a solid two or three attempts a night he'll be solid.
Much like LeBron in Miami (another guy with a "broken shot" that has improved after 25) it'll be about the threat of scoring outside (to open up driving lanes).
I guess the Spurs should trade Derrick White now since he's already 25 and can't possibly improve. Maybe rid ourselves of anyone else past that threshold since 25 is the new 30 to the Nephew knob slobbing crew.......

whatever warped version of the NBA where a guy who relies entirely on his athleticism is going to suddenly start to learn to shoot at age 25 you want to believe is fine by me. Lebron is 35 and is declining. KD will never be the same. two opinions that align better with the universe we live in

giannis is a longer grant hill. an ankle sprain away from being actual dog . kawhi has been the best player in the league since 2017, arguably 2016. everybody will forget about white once Murray comes back too
Say what you want to about Durant, but he's more of a man than Kawhi. He got asked straight up about his injury today, and this was his answer:

Lebron, Parker and Giannis all started playing at 19. Giannis is 6 seasons in and has only had 2 seasons where he shot above 30% from 3, Lebron and Parker had 5. If fact Lebron has only had 1 season where he shot lower than 30% in his career (rookie year) and Giannis wishes he could shoot as well as Lebron did during his Miami years (which is basically your goal for him).
Bottom line is Giannis' scoring ability outside the paint is pretty awful, it's possible and probably likely that he eventually gets better at it but that isn't something that just happens in a season or 2. Especially since he's 6 seasons in and still has nothing to show for it. By the time he realistically develops those skills his other skills will likely begin to diminish and they end up off-setting.
And before anyone compares it to Kawhi becoming a good 3pt shooter. Kawhi already had a decent midrange game and was a good FT shooter so he already had the foundation to improve and why the Spurs felt comfortable drafting him.
