Idaho rancher needs a rifle to protect his critters from critters, he OBVIOUSLY is not a threat. Never been in any trouble, pillar of the community.
Young dude in Chicago who can't hold down a job, has no education needs a rifle for what reason? When asked why a rifle in an apartment in Chicago, how does he answer that?
Letting people own a weapon should depend on just who this person is and why they need one.
But.....there is no reason at al why anyone not in the military or law enforcement needs an assault weapon. Those weapons must be illegal and only sold to the military/law.
And, a buy back is a great idea, the thugs will steal from other thugs if there is $$$$$$ involved.

Where a gun is to be sold should be a real big deal. And why the gun is needed another big deal. Who needs a rifle living in a down town apartment? If they say....love to hunt....ok then prove it.
