President Donald Trump once suggested that the US could try dropping a nuclear bomb into the eye of an approaching hurricane to... knock it off its course? Scare it away? Who knows.

    It's a frequently asked question

To be clear, Trump would be far from the only person to ever suggest it. Dennis Feltgen, public affairs officer for the National Hurricane Center, says he gets between three and four dozen emails every hurricane season from concerned citizens suggesting climatological nuclear warfare.
He tells them all the same thing virtually any scientist alive today would say: It ain't gonna work.

A source who was at a hurricane briefing at the White House told the outlet that the President once said of hurricanes, "I got it. I got it. Why don't we nuke them?"

"They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?" Asked by Axios how the briefer responded to the President's suggestion, the source said he "said something to the effect of, 'Sir, we'll look into that.'"

The President then asked how many hurricanes the US may be able to stop and reiterated his suggestions, according to the source, which caused the briefer to be "knocked back on his heels."
"You could hear a gnat fart in that meeting. People were astonished. After the meeting ended, we thought, 'What the f---? What do we do with this?'" the source told Axios.

I personally have never advocated nuking hurricanes.

Just so we are clear that this random was not part of "other randoms".

That said, we are at the point where the president is throwing a tantrum because Denmark wouldn't sell Greenland, and he is asking about nuking hurricanes.

And now proposing moving the next G7 summit to his personal resort Doral, which by all accounts is not only a ty property not worthy of multiple world leaders converging, but also a clear conflict of interest in terms of 1. mixing official diplomatic presidential activities at a property owned by his personal companies, and 2. possibly funneling profits from said diplomatic visits to his personal resort holding companies, and 3. discussing future personal business deals on US government time.

But no worries, as the statute of limitations to sue based on these conflicts of interest will run out during his second term, since the dems will nominate a super far left person who will alienate the vast majority of middle of the road Americans.

Because no one live video fed a private cabinet meeting where the president acted the same way he acts when off script in public?
