Eh, he was pretty aggravating this season. I know some of that is expected, but he seemed far more of a detriment this season than his first stint
With the Spurs beyond his current deal.

This is surprising. Surely he must see the writing on the wall and see the young players take his minutes?
He's 33... 12 years in the NBA. Moved around a ton. Probably just likes it here and wants to stay.SAS 2018-19
PHI 2017-18
ATL 2017-18
CHA 2016-17
SAC 2015-16
SAS 2013-15
CHI 2012-13
NOP 2010-12
TOR 2009-10
GSW 2007-09
it’s not all about basketball folks
I hope he stays too... off the team that is.
Eh I'm Ok with him signing a near league minimum deal after this one to retire when he is 34 for a retirement at 35 then be a coach in Austin or something like part of the European scout team and spend his time in San Antonio being a part of the practice/coaching/shooting staff. For say 35K annually and a travel budget when he is going overseas scouting. He seems like a responsible and fairly smart guy especially of court and having the ability to size up your prospects having recent NBA experience seems like it would be helpful.
We may need his shooting the way this roster is constructed tbh. To rely on LWIV is your main bench shooter after letting go of Dat Ninja Bert is not advisable. TBH between LMA/DeMar/Purrtl/White/Murray there are 0 shooters. So who is left to shoot the rock when teams just clog the paint?
LOL. White had foot problems most of the season, last year. That will effect your shooting. His Senior year at Colorado he shot 40% from 3,and 81% on FTs, a strong indicator of shooting ability. In a 17 game sample his rookie year, he shot 61% from downtown. If you look at his overall NBA numbers, he's a 36% shooter in basically one season's worth of games. I ultimately think he'll land somewhere between 38 and 40%.
He's gotta be hopeful after seeing Gasol get a loyalty contract after one mediocre year.
Yeah who else can take open off-balance, leaning 3 point shots?
Just add another person overstaying their welcome in a long list of people before him.
As and insurance policy/end of the bench guy, sure.
If he plays a Pondexter type role this upcoming season, and is cool with doing that a couple more years on a minimum deal then sure.
If he's not ok with any of that then no.
I really did lol reading that, good one.
No problem with him staying. He has proven he can hit big shots. Good teammate too.
As the 15th man on a minimum deal then sure.
No reason why he can't be similar to what Steve Kerr was for the Spurs his last year here. If he takes a minimum contract, or close to minimum, and can come in off the bench when called for and hit shots while still being cold, if he has the ability to do something similar to that, then I wouldn't have a problem bringing him back. Seems like a good guy.
Only if there's enough after Patty gets his 2 years 40 million dollar deal.
He knows Pop likes his pets. Why not add a few years to his earnings?
Who doesnt want a Ferrari?
In other news, fans hope he doesn't.
He was useful last season despite that horrid start. Don't want him though, rather phase out older players when their deals are done and have the younger players take their place.
