Yes, it will destroy the best argument he had for reelection. Yes, he's too stubborn to ever back down. But no other politician had the nerve to start that trade war. Maybe they are more realistic than Trump, but he hasn't kowtowed to the Chinese government yet. I do comment a lot. I follow world events. I'm an international relations major from my college days. But no, Pop doesn't have to speak out on every issue in the world. But when the NBA is thrown in the spotlight, then he should step up and truth tell. He didn't. He deflected to Trump and didn't even mention the C-word. That's why you are defending an indefensible position. And NBA players that are traveling to China every summer to sell sneakers have every responsibility to speak up that they have when they are doing it in the U.S. They aren't traveling to Syria or North Korea (except Rodman). But they are in China every summer. Even injured Nephew couldn't get there fast enough.

If I took the role of truth teller in the NBA and then the NBA was in a huge spotlight like they are right now, I would feel responsible to tell the truth. I mean it's a softball to talk about gun violence or detained refugees. He's saying "what you are supposed to say." But when it comes to China, he refused to speak up for those students in Hong Kong fighting for freedom. The same ones that will be detained for speaking up and will be making Christmas toys for the kids here in America and will be used to harvest organs in China. Those are the guys will balls that no one here has. And they put Pop to shame.
