Take Cole out after the fifth inning and save him for a possible Game 7 appearance, tbh.
Nats taking the Dodgers out was cool.

Sucks that Schezler was a scratch. I was looking forward to a close game.
Stra perfectly capable of tying it up 3-3 tho. I don't think it's "over".
calling that a strike
Gerrit Cole solid bounce back tbh.
Such an enormous 5th run Astros.
It's not the Astros' values to tout wife beaters, but they will employ them.
The sidearm Joe Smith throws strikes which is good. No meatballs please.
That was a HUGE 8th inning with the pitching. Strike out their best guys and now they're down to less intimidating bats for their last chance in the 9th inning.
Road sweet road, baby.
still better than got Puig, tbh
Not so fast young buck. 3, 4 and 5 coming up for the Nats.
What did Puig do?
One of the worst umped games in recent memory, all favoring the Astros. I'm not hating on the Astros, but many of those calls prevented the game from being closer and thus more entertaining. If he was going to call that a strike, the pitch to Correa that preceding the homerun should've been called strike three, as well.
SPRINGER NICEY POO
GOOD NIGHT BABY
DAGGER
be a loudmouth crybaby got every game, tbh... White Harden, too, but to a lesser extent
Get into the Nats bullpen and make them throw a lot of pitches and good things happen. Shertzer being out was huge
ROAD SWEET ROAD!
3-2.
1.
Pressly put down
more like swatted the Gnats. tbh.
Nat fans booed Trump. Everyone who boos Trump loses. The curse of Trump continues.
I have no idea why MLB switched balls. I was expecting a bunch of bullpen meltdowns & late inning heroics
I don't think they switched balls. Air is cooler this time of the year and even if the ball is different, I don't think the MLB or anyone can have that precise control over manufacturing tolerances of a handmade product made from leather and string. I think the ball is travelling 4 feet less, per the Cardinals research, so yeah, you'd need tolerances on the level of 1 percent. My concern going forward for the future of the sport is the hits-to-strikeout ratio further increasing and the comeback factor reduced because of that. I looked at some past playoff seasons, and comebacks from 1 run deficits occurred about half the time in most cases. Last I looked for this post-season, it was about 30 percent. And it'll only get worse if strikeout dominant pitching continues its pace.
Manfred is limp wristed, though. I dislike the modern chuckball NBA, but I can respect that the league knew what kind of game the majority of their fans wanted to see and came down hard with rule changes like the very next season to make it happen. It alienated fans like me, but I'm no longer the NBA's core demo. Baseball has some pace of play issues, ball in play issues, strikeout issues, but Manfred continues to twiddle his thumbs. It's frustrating, because the solutions are so simple.
I'm in the same boat;
I appreciated 90s ball and early-mid 00s Spurs and Pistons ball. That's what I grew up on. D'Antoni's Suns were fun as to watch when they were the anomaly, but that style now being the norm across the NBA makes me sick and has ruined the league for me.
