How does it feel to see yet ANOTHER young player that the Lakers mishandled and failed to develop prosper elsewhere?

While i would have liked to keep BI instead of Kuzma and i'm on record saying so before the AD trade, i understand the Lakers did what they had to do to get a transcendent talent in AD and pair him with Lebron.

At the end of the day, the Lakers made the right moves and are in position to contend, your team is stuck in an endless loop of 1st round exits. The book is out on DeFrozen, he was never gonna lead you anywhere, especially in the stacked western playoffs. Might as well have taken a gamble on a younger talent.

I realize you were just lonely on a Monday night and just posting whatever BS you could think of to get some attention. I don't hold that against you, but just to play along.....

Nothing about BI with his time on the lakers made him any cornerstone for a major trade to a conference rival. Now maybe out of the black hole of development, he might improve. (As noted with previous examples on this thread.)
I am not going to act like I know what was offered, but it doesn't seem as if the lakers offered much. So after yet another incompetent move by la management, they missed their mark.. again.. in both trade and FA. In addition, they lost him to the in town rival of the city they are supposed to own. GM's should be fired over such constant stupidity.... and he was.
Nobody can fault you for getting AD. However you know what is coming. Everyone knows what is coming. The only question will be for how long he will be out with whatever injury he is going to get. But hey, you'll be on tv a lot. That is really all you want anyway.
As far as comparing to SA.. you are in a decade long nightmare. While this year will be better, you still won't get a ring. You have a walking time bomb, an aging HOFer who will cramp up when on his own, another puppet coach for Lebron, no bench, and not even the best team in your own building. Go to a knick board. There is far more in common there with recent history than on a Spurs board.

You have no bench, and a window of maybe 3 years, and then you're back in the when LeBron retires. AD by himself has proven to be a non-transcendent player, only leading NO to the playoffs twice in seven years. Good luck with that.

Fans of a borderline playoff team scoffing at Ingram

Meanwhile, Murray is older and nowhere near as good a scorer as BI and gets slurped in here on a daily basis
LOL, says the fan of a borderline playoff team

Still trying to ply this schtick a decade after the war was over...like Hillbillies still cursing them damn Yankess.

Davis isnt even sticking around after this year. He's taking a , making connections and just getting numbers so he can go to Chicago with as much clout as possible.

Brandon Ingram, the 22 year old phenom, Kiwi + Durant hybrid is ballin' in NOLA. Just dropped 40 tonight in Brooklyn.

    24 PPG, 8 REBS, 4 AST, 50% from 3 on 5 attempts per game, 1.2 BLK.

It was such an easy decision to make to pick BI over DeFrozen but Poop decided to put his personal feelings towards the Lakers, ahead of the interests of the organization and it cost you the future of the franchise.

Now you're stuck on a treadmill of averageness for the foreseeable future with DeFrozen at the wheel. How does Poop still have a job?
You should be glad the Lakers didn't offer more because I guarantee you Kawhi would have walked to the Clippers regardless if the Lakers had traded for him.

Laker fan with the revisionist history. The Lakers true offer was reportedly Hart, Kuzma, and one first rounder.

    This.
Delusional AIDs thought he would get another en lement gift.
Good on Pop for not falling for that bull .

Demar is a separate issue. Very dumb of Pop but does not change the great move of denying AIDs bull offers.

The book is still out on Ingram. Putting up numbers in high scoring, no defense loses is the surest way to impress casual fans. The Pelicans are 1-6, and Ingram's defensive rating is significantly higher than those of Patty Mills and Demar DeRozan, two poor defenders.

Trading him to the Lakers and then having him screw them over for the Clippers would have been nice though. Or just trading him to the Clippers, which would have prevented them from also getting Paul George and net the Spurs SGA + Gallo + ??

Their offer was purportedly Tobias Harris, who left the team that the LAC did trade him to, and one of the late lottery picks that year, either 12 or 13, not both.

Tobias re-signed with the Sixers (Jimmy Butler left) and the Clippers used that pick to move up one to get SGA, which the Spurs easily could have done as well. Or got someone like Porter Jr. Both options would have been preferable to Demar and a better fit for this team.

You're right about Butler...and not Harris leaving. Spurs wouldn't have paid Harris $180M, though. He's a glorified 3&D who thinks he's a star. ST would have melted down, Patty style if they had. They would also never draft someone with MPJ's medical profile He has a ton of talent, but will probably wind up like Sam Bowie or Brandon Roy, guys who's careers are wrecked by injury.

We'll see what they end up doing with Demar but I do think Harris would have been a better fit than Demar but neither is really that ideal.

Still lots of bitterness about missing out on Kawhi from Laker fans.

It actual ended up helping Kawhi. Being Lebron's wouldn't have done a lot for Kawhi's legacy. Pop did him a solid.

6-1 but will it matter when the Clippers eliminate you guys from the playoffs?
