Seriously...Team isn’t responding and internal turmoil started by Kawhitter. Different lineups not working. Shouldn’t be losing to the Timberwolves at home. 6 - 13. Time to start unloading players and bring in interim coach. It’s over. Been a nice ride but it’s time to start over.

I agree. Popovich looks like he has an undiagnosed Alzheimer’s disease. Spurs need to consult a neurologist to check on him. He’s losing it. His love of no defense players like Forbes, Beli, Mills and De Rozan is unbelievable. SMH.

The roster as it's currently built should most definitely be losing to Minny at home

You can't fire a coach like Pop no matter how bad it gets, he has earned the right to walk away whenever he feels like it.

Nay sometimes you gotta protect the person from themselves and make the hard decision like when Jerry let Tom Landry go.

I’ve never agreed with this mindset. Just because someone was good, or great, or even the best at one point in the past doesn’t give them the right to destroy the team, the fan base and the franchise indefinitely.

yes you give them a longer leash when their performance drastically drops but you also speak bluntly with them about where the current path is headed if changes in personnel or philosophy aren’t made. Most normal coaches don’t want to go out in a bad way and will work with the team to have a good transition. Does pop want to go out like bob stoops or joe paterno?

The front office is not that special. Lucky lottery picks Robinson and Duncan overrated them. Now we see with Duncan gone a couple of years how the front office can put together a compe ive team.

The spurs were entertaining and had some success during the pre-pop drob era. They went to 7 straight playoffs, made it passed the first round 4x, made the conference finals, and were 5-7 in playoff series. If the post-Duncan pop era had that kind of success then it would show to me that pop is his own man and a great coach. But he’s not off to a good start and the longer he stays the more it blurs his legacy. More and more folks will wonder how much of it was him vs Duncan

It was a different font office before Robinson than the current one and the previous front office did well without getting two franchise centers. The current front office is overrated.

I'm curious if you were GM of the Spurs, how you would go about constructing a team? Knowing that San Antonio has never been a destination for big time free agents, as well as perennially picking in the bottom of the 1st round annually.

I don't agree with all decisions and current allocation of playing time, but the front office seemed to be doing quite well post Duncan despite draft position, ect, until nephew's turned ankle against GS in the playoffs and then his sitting out the next year and consequently destroying his trade value. The Morris sham didn't help either.

How fast they turn on a guy who hasn't missed the playoffs in his NBA head coaching career of 20+ years and has brought 5 rings to an otherwise ringless franchise.

Last time the Spurs missed the playoffs, MJ had his flu game.

Tiger Woods at 21 became the youngest to ever win the Masters.

Probably wanted the western all-stars as starters and the eastern all-stars as 2nd team
